I'd say theres about a 34-45% chance this is bossbot HQ. Otherwise I think it'll come out on Saturday or next week.

It sure would be nice if they didn't release the CEO for a day or so, so that everyone that can get their suit has there suit.

You said that there would be no reason to release it on open to test for anything because they would hav solved all of the issues on test. All i was arguing was tht there are things that they can't test for on the test servers and they have to wait to release it on Open to check these issues.

The point was that releasing it on open doesn't mean they have everything figured out simply because it ws on test...there are still things to test and just because it isn't finished being tested I was wondering if they would release it in partial form like they did when they first put it on the test server
I'm not a Dev and I don't work at Disney's Toontown Online, so I'm not sure about all this(As I'm sure you're not either)... But, the reason they didn't have the CEO available on Test right away, was because they didn't have it all figured out yet(For ex... The looks of it, how much damage the CEO should be able to take, how much damage the toons should be able to dish out, ect...). It didn't have anything to do with how it would be able to hold up on the server; and it wasn't 'cause they wanted to give the toons a chance to work up there BB suits. They just didn't have it all figured out yet, IMO.

Now that they have the CEO battle all set-up it's ready to come out on Open when BBHQ does. Trust me, they won't release BBHQ without the CEO.

You're right, I'm not a Dev here, I work on servers for another online game and when we do releases it isn't unusual for us to release parts at a time so people can go ahead and start reporting glitches in the early parts while we fine-tune the later stages. It helps to solve small problems in steps rather than trying to deal with the whole mess at once. I'm not saying that's what they would do, but at the same time it wouldn't be unusual if they did do it that way.

Now there is like a 10% chance it's coming out. Usually you can see an update on the realease notes BEFORE the maintenance ends.

Doesnt mean Toontown has to follow the exact way the other games do. Toontown is special and does it differently.. I think.

Hehe I never SAID they would...i was the one ASKING if it would indeed be the case. I just simply said it wouldn't be unusual if they did. But ToonTown is not different from other online games at its core. They all use the same protocol and rendering algorithms. If they didn't then only specific computers or specific graphics chips would be able run Toontown. It has been universal for over a year now when they added Macintosh and developed the launcher for Vista
