Solo'ing: How Do You Save Up?

I've, recently, maxed my toon (Bear Lee Here) in all 3 (Waiting on Boss now) offices. My next goal is to test my abilities at solo'ing each of the bosses. I've done a lot of reading (Dawgfather's, Summer Solstice's, and a few other posts), and I have seen what it takes to win (ie SOS cards and unites).

My questions relate to the obtaining of these items. How long (and I'm speaking to the ones that have done this) did it take for you to gather these items? By what means did you gather these items? For instance did you slowly build these up through CCG and other related runs? Or, did you go on treasure hunts to gather these items?

Any feedback you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Well, the way I got my Unites was simple. Went to Nutty River and did CFO's, until I felt like I had enough.

The best way to get SOS Cards is to get a group(4+) of buddies(Or go with the TCB's Shopping sessions.. I think they have those lol. I don't know much about the TCB) to do continuous VP runs, only staying for the good cards(The 6 5 stars, Franz Neckvein and your choice of an 8th card). That's called SOS shopping.

Then once you have enough Cards and Unites, you want to look over how to solo the HQ you're trying to solo, and once you figure that out you need to do a practice run or two(Or however many you need to be prepared).

I couldn't agree more with Danny. Shopping with a few friends is a great way to collect SOS's which you will most likely need in a solo. CFO is good with friends too and is a lot easier than VPs but the down side as you know im sure is you dont know what you are getting... Personally my favorite go to person is Bessie, but Franz is a great choice too. I havnt used a whole lot of gag unites in solos but i can safly say that tu unites will come in handy. If you have any questions dont be afraid to ask, im sure i have an answer!

Definetly SOS shopping is the way to go for cards, this way you only collect the ones needed. Doing random VPs would take much more time to accumulate the specific cards you are looking for.

I would most definetly recommend checking out the TCB and seeing if this group is for you. They have a phenomenal (sp?) combined experience level and you can connect with people who have actually soloed.
