Laugh Point Boost

Can someone share when laugh boosts happen for beating bosses? Is it at certain suit promotions or number of bosses beat? I see references to it from time to time, but not having experience it (yet), I don't know how it happens.

You can gain 5 laff boosts from each of the bosses - HW/RB/BW 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 - for a total of 15 laff boosts from boss battles.

[The Dogfather]

You get laff boosts from boss battles only after you have the highest cogsuit available. Once you have that suit, you will get laff boosts at level 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 (max).
