Wink 2 man VP

I have to say, 2 man - ing the V.P. is SOOO much harder than I thought it would be! This started out as an 8 toon V.P. with randoms in Nutty Summit, but we ended up with all the good gags/mr.hollywoods on my side and the new people/low laffers with bad gags on the other. Unfortunately, after our side finished, there was not a toon to be found on the other.. funny though, I had the sound on and I never once heard the "going sad" wah wah wahhh. What happened to those four toons remained unknown.

The skelecog remained, and we decided to stay. However, the 2 lowest laffers without lure got sided together on one side, and me and a 108 laff horse ( Baron Winky something) were on the other side. Within 30 seconds, we were the only ones left. And WOW! I had NO idea there were so many cogs in the 2nd round of the VP when you fight all of them including the other side's cogs. After soloing CFO where you fight 80 cogs total I thought that 20 or so cogs would be nothing. But we ran out of gags QUICKLY, and we ended up having to use 2 wedding cakes and a toontanic. We also ran out of lure very quickly, so I had to use a gag up - lure ( I had 3 of them so I didn't really mind) .

Off to the pie round.. If anyone is planning on doing a solo VP pie round or 2 man pie round let me say it is MUCH harder than you think. The toon on my side was pretty new to the vp and only stunned the VP a total of 2 times.. so it was basically like soloing it for me. Alot of People think that a 2 man is easy because you can toon each other up during the pie round. True, but if you do, the VP jumps about 10 jumps per second, and moves forward at about 5 miles an hour. I stopped once to get a toonup, and the VP moved from the near the ledge to the second ramp within 15 seconds. So for any future 2 man pie rounders out there, you've been warned. The pie round took about 30 minutes, the longest of any boss battle I've been in. I had to do all the stunning and there were many times where we couldn't get the VP past one spot. The VP was going INSANE, and was throwing gears like mad and targeting us the second the doors opened. However, this is when one of my solo CFO techniques came in handy By switching sides of the door often, the VP targets the place you last stood, much like the CFO does in the crane round if you switch cranes often. I used this technique until we got him really close to the edge, and then luckily the door opened twice quickly on the front and we stunned him and pushed him off the ledge.
I ended up having to use 2 20+ toonup unites because the VP made 4 ghost jumps in a row at one point, and wouldn't slow down. Oof. Even though this was incredibly tough, and ended up in me using a couple unites ( >:[ i'm trying to save up for solo CFO) , It was a heart- pounding experience and I've learned so much about stunning by going through this process and refusing to give up! If any toon out there wants to become a good stunner, there's nothing better than experience and I'd highly recommend going in there with one other toon.... if you don't give up you'll have to learn the correct position to stand in and where to stun eventually, so give it a try!

edit: darn! can any mac user show me how to find screenshots in your logs? they aren't there.... is apple ( command) f9 the right key combination?

Sorry you had such a rough time.
A 2 toon vp isn't always that hard.
Don't be afraid to try it with a freind if you are both experienced players.
I once went in whith a freind as noone else dared go with us on a not full elevator.
First cog round went smoothly after which we used a unite to gag up.
Skellcog round cost me a few unite tune ups (as my presentation failed, lol)and I believe I had to use a gag up too. I waited to kill the last cog until my freind could join me to do regular tune ups.
Pie round was pretty fast. I have no clue how many minutes but it didn't feel much longer than normal. My freind was stunning from the back and I was stunning and driving him back from the front.
This worked well. The vp did target my freind in the back alot but we didn't need to tune each other. (No ghost jumps :-))
At the end my freind had 41 laffpoints left and I had 76 left. At the time I think we were both 110+ laffers.
It was a fun vp run. Good luck on trying it!

Congrats, I run 2 mans alot on my 75 laffer shopping for cards. I think the best thing to do is have a front and a back stunner. If your in the back, stand back a little bit and run forward when he starts to target you. This way you can see him targeting you and can move in time. Also with one person in front and one in the back you dont get the VP jumping so much as he always has someone to target. Good Luck on your CFO solo!

yeah that's what I ended up doing. But it seemed as though I could still never get the perfect place to stand. When I stunned in the front, it was hard to avoid the spray of gears from him spinning, from him targeting, AND from the door opening all at the same time.

Stand reletively close to the left tread but not too far right to where the door hits you when it opens. That should prevent you from getting hit by the gears, and you can still see him targeting you so you have a chance to move back.
