About asking to operate crane...

Right b4 all of us go to the final part of cfo. theres 1 thing that drives me insane. Its not when ppl ask to crane but when 1 of them says yes. Well, how do u know they will beat someone to the crane? Do u have control who does?

If I say "yes" when someone ask to crane it usually means that I'm in favor of them craning if they can get to a crane. Sometimes I'll even give up my crane to them if they didn't get one in time. If someone asks for a crane before the crane round it isn't a guarantee they will get it, but my saying yes is just letting them know I'm ok with it.

No, I don't have control. It only says I will not try to get the crane if they want it.

I don't know about that - but it makes me crazy when someone asks in the elevator "may I operate the crane?" My initial thought at that time is, "no, you may not" - just because we aren't even close to that part of the battle and you are already trying to let everyone know that if you don't crane you aren't going to be happy......invariably these are not people who CAN crane.

(and by the way, yes, I'm a pretty good craner if I do say so myself).

Instead of saying "Yes" if you do want some to crane, you should say "Please operate the crane" ........

If you are asking in the elevator or repeat this ? more then once, I already know you most likely are not good at craning, or will get angry if people beat you to it. The whole point is teamwork, if you already unhappy, the whole team is going to suffer. I let anyone who wants to crane do so, since protecting them is more important to the team then them learning how to crane, and I can always bail them out.

I always say " I don't care" and let them have it, if I can, How can I control the other toons though? As an RB50, I already know if they ask they are worried if they can or not.
