Solo Tips

Wanna Solo? Scared too? Well, here's some tips.
__________________________________________________ _______________
Tips on how to Solo
1.Make sure you have Alot of unites and SOS's.
2.Make sure you have enough Laff points.
3.Make sureyou have 80/80 gags.(including LVL 7's)
4.Don't be afraid.
5.Get Pointers from other soloer's(that i didn't say)
6.DON'T DIE!!!
7.Have Fun!
Xtra tips(thx to Ice Cold)
1. dont bring any toonup gags, you'll be the only one in there!
2. start out the first round by luring with the presentation, then save the small cogs and kill off the big cogs one by one. if you save all the small cogs then you'll only have one big cog to deal with at a time.
3. Gag up all unites and professor petes are undoubtedly the most important sos/unite of a solo. There are over 80 cogs to fight in the cfo cog round, you'll run out of gags pretty quickly!
4. go in with CONFIDENCE! remember you're just there for the fun of it, right?
5. Don't stress about saving toonup unites for the pie/crane/scale round, especially in a solo cfo. If you truly are capable of soloing that part, you won't need them.
6. If you aren't ready to solo the pie/crane/scale round, make sure you get in some practice rounds beforehand! go in with some friends and then have them x out just after cog round... you'd hate to have to waste all those sos and unites just because you weren't prepared!
7. Always go in with more sos and unites than you think you'll need.... it's good to take that extra precaution just incase your lure ends up missing a bit
8. LURE. bring LOTS of it. in my cfo solo, i came in with 15 magnets, 5 10 $ bills, 3 goggles, and a presentation. i ended up using lure 43 times that entire cfo. only 17 of the 30 magnets i used worked, and most people would say that's good compared to their solo. so like i said, be ready for anything to happen!
9. Make sure you're doodle is almost maxed in at least one trick, and is feeling happy and ready to go beforehand, i used my doodle 12 times in my solo!
10. finally, you should bring daffy don as your 8th sos card. all the others should be 5 star sos

(CFO solo).
(1) On the CFO, you can drop a safe right in front of the cog door, that will destroy any cogs coming out (most experienced CFOers know this). If you drop a safe on the side you are working the cranes from, the goons wander around on the other side of the room for a while, instead of marching straight out the door at you.

(2) (a) At the beginning and the middle (right before the orange hats), run around to all the cranes and toss all the safes toward one main crane you are going to use. This will give you lots of safes to smack him with, and will create a barrier keeping the goons further away.
(b) If things get too crazy by one crane, just run to the opposite corner and start over.

(3) Leave a several of the yellow hats running around (the smaller the better). It seems the CFO has a limit of how many goons he's willing to let out at a time. If you've got a few yellow-hats running around, you'll have fewer of the red-hats. (It's definitely better to be hit with the beam from an ankle-biter than one of those huge red-hats).

(4) (a) The one technique that seemed to keep me alive the longest was to intentionally stay off the crane, just to the side, until the CFO tossed some gears. When he tosses the gears, I'd dodge right into the crane control, giving me the maximum time between gear tosses to do some damage. (b) It seems the best way to avoid a gear toss is to hit the CFO with a goon. If you do it quick enough, it seems to cancel the gears that are already headed your way, if the goon stuns him. The gears just disappear into thin air. :-)

I'm not sure if these are the best techniques, since I've never soloed the CFO, only stayed alive indefinitely (until I get bored, and decide to start over with friends). I'd appreciate any comments on my strategy suggestions. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I only have one tip for solo VP (I've soloed the pie round, just not the cogs going in. I'm too generous with my SOS and unites to stockpile them).
VP Tip: Helpful rules for soloing the VP seem to be VERY basic (only one). Just follow the typical strategy for group VP, except always try to stay very close to the VP, so he throws gears and showers instead of hopping (and eventually rolling). That's the only real tip you need if you know how to hit his pie-hole. Just stand off to the side of his tread (to avoid the showers), and dodge his gear throws. VP is the easiest solo, by far. I don't understand these people who say soloing the CFO is easiest. I must be doing something wrong.

I can tell you right now that there's a ton more soloers than that. you can add me to the cfo solo list, on pickles crinklesnooker, for starters. Also, as a soloer myself, here are some tips that i feel are necessary to include for a solo guide.
1. dont bring any toonup gags, you'll be the only one in there!
2. start out the first round by luring with the presentation, then save the small cogs and kill off the big cogs one by one. if you save all the small cogs then you'll only have one big cog to deal with at a time.

10. finally, you should bring daffy don as your 8th sos card. all the others should be 5 star sos.

good luck future soloers!

LASTLY, i think krypton knight deserves a special category, he is the lowest laffer ever to solo vp... he did it at only 39 laff with 4 gag tracks.

CFO Solo

I've spent up to 30 minutes alone in CFO battle, after everyone else left or went sad, but I had one problem that had me believing that a solo CFO was nearly impossible. It went like this:

Near the end, when the red hats are flooding the room, the CFO puts safes on rather quickly. He also perpetually throws gears at you. I got stuck in a pattern where I could never stay at a crane long enough to get off two tosses (safe to knock off helmet, then goon). I knew if I could get him stunned, I could deliver the death blow, but in the time it took to knock off the helmet, and toss a goon, he would throw gears at me that I had to dodge. I'm not swinging back and forth either, just pick and toss. Several times I could get the helmet off and hit him with the goon to stun him, but every time I did that, I had to sacrifice and get hit by the gears, and every time I hit him, he would get faster at putting on the helmet, eventually making it impossible to hit him with a goon between knocking it off and him grabbing a new helmet.

What am I missing here? Or was it only possible to beat him solo before the update? I can survive in there forever, but when I get the CFO's points low, he gets too fast.

Oh, I do have a few tips (CFO solo).
(1) On the CFO, you can drop a safe right in front of the cog door, that will destroy any cogs coming out (most experienced CFOers know this). PS - The #1 feature I would like to see on ToonTown is a spectator feature, where you could watch your friends (or maybe just TFs?) do battle. Maybe you're waiting for them to finish a building/battle so you can join up, or maybe you want to watch some expert techniques without having to take up the space of someone actually battling. Lots of other multiplayer games have this feature, and it seems like it would be very easy to add. It would be even more fun to solo if several (hundreds?) of fellow toons could watch your battle. Not everyone knows how (or has a fast enough machine) to capture the battle on video.

That's the feature I'd most like for Disney to add.

Lawbot CJ

I have no idea how one would successfully solo the CJ. I thought it was impossible.

Some folk get bonuses for evidence tosses when your suit is a higher level, right? So I suppose you need to wait until you're near maxed to try.

What would you do? Just position yourself at the pan in the "sweet spot" directly opposite the evidence tossing cogs, so their evidence can't hit you, and then toss evidence in the pan as fast as you can, hoping you get it in faster than the 8 cogs on the other side of the room?

It seems to me that is all you could do! Oh, and definitely play with the sound on, so you can hear the CJ jump.

ok rule #1 of soloing cfo, never EVER leave a safe blocking off the door. while it might seem beneficial at first, it makes it about 75% more likely for safes to drop onto his head later on, trust me my first attempt at soloing cfo I tried this, and safes came on about every 17 seconds. second attempt, I barely used safes at all and kept them as far away from the cfo as possible and I won about 15 minutes later. ... perhaps thats why its too hard for you to solo cfo? i find the vp much harder.

OH YA i almost forgot. the most important part of the crane round is just to keep running and moving! that way the cfo gets confused and doesnt target you as much so you get more crane time. keep stomping too and have plenty of treasures available.

Thanks for the tips! That explains why he put the helmet on so fast... I'll try to keep the safes away from him. I had already figured out that it would probably be mostly goon tosses.

Thanks!
