I don't care how old you are, but do you realize you just contributed little to nothing to A) What he asked, or B) The thread as a whole? Anyways, don't worry aboutthe Cold Caller part. They had to start somewhere. I don't wanna ruin the fun too much, but basically you go in, fight a lot of cogs, then throw pies at the VP using the insert key. Just be sure to jump when he does!

Good luck getting in. I don't think you will encounter much resistance just because you are a level 1 cold caller. The big problem is the low laff. First because a lack of gags to get throught the onslaught of cogs you get and second the likely hood to go sad after just a few jumps.
Map: You have very little choice what you do once the elevator doors close. The eight get off the elevator, split into two groups of loosly equal amounts (depending on how many got in the elevator, how many got discoed, how many alt f4ed...) and march down to face the VP. Half on one side half on the other. It plays a little movie where the toon hanging in a cage rats you out to the VP. Then the fight is on. First fight: You face sellbots of all levels just like you have seen all over toontown. This can be easy or hard, depending on both luck of the draw (sending out a series of low cogs or it may load you up with level 12 cogs) and skill of your team mates. I've never go sad in this fight, but I have been teamed up with mates that tried to make be go sad due to their poor decisions. What ever you do, try to recognise when the fight is almost over. (There must be something like 20 cogs, I've never counted) Try to make sure everyone is tooned to the max at the end. Should you get done first and they have room on the other side you can jump in over there. Then you follow the VP up the ramp and over to the captive toon. Carefull not to touch the VP at this point. You can't hurt him but he will ding you for -1 when you touch him. Second battle: The tough fight...you face the skelocogs all level 9-12. Good teamwork is essential. You either use a lot of maxed sound or a bunch of lure, pie, pie, lure, pie, pie etc. And once again try to recognise when the battle is about over and toon everyone up to max. (Probably 20 cogs to this one too, but it seems like more) If you finish first and there is room on the other side you can jump in on that fight. Otherwise hang out under the cage until they are done and say helpful things like, "I think you should choose tune up!" At the end of the last cog the captive toon tells you to jump up to the cage for pies (You will have to click throught the dialogue like you do for the tasks, don't take too long it irritates the other toons) You jump up to the cage and you will then see a pie Icon at the top of your screen. You are then done jumping at the cage for the remainder of the battle. The final battle: I'm not the best at this, but you basically try to use teamwork to first stun the VP by throwing a pie into the chamber below him when the door is open (very difficult and you should just let an experienced toon do that for your first couple of trips. You will here a horn and see him drop down a little off his stilts/legs and you then pelt his head and body with pies knocking him back down the ramp. He will only be stunned for a short while and you will have to stun him again. You continue this until he drops off the edge at the bottom of the two ramps. Other things to know: Throw pies with insert key, or turn off num lock and use 0, or use mouse on the pie icon. Toon up fellow toons by pelting them with pies. One laff point per pie. If you stand right next to them you can toon them up quick. Jump when you hear a whoosh sound or see the VP jump. A -10 will result if you do not. That will be the bulk of your damage. Don't stand too close to the VP. The cog gears he throws and drops have a limited range. Your pies have a longer range. There are countless other threads on stategy so read some...

Jump when he does?
I can never seem to avoid the -10 when the VP jumps
Are you sure this works? Exactly when do you jump? is it normal jump with the control key? guess thats why I'm 1 for 6 against the VP Never have any problem with the two cog battles

If you have sound on, you can hear a familiar crashing sorta sound when he leaps up.
If you dont? Uh oh keep ya eyes open! & oops you jump the moment you see/hear him leap up. I find the stupid -3's & -2's most annoying. Not only do they make you lose laff points they make you fall over & takes all the getting-up-again time he needs to close up his undercarrige |

Thanks for the excellent guide to the VP. It would have saved a few false starts when I was a Cold Caller Level 1.
It is sad, however, that Disney couldn't have spent a few minutes to provide this info on their web site (or somehow in the game.) It would help the Level 1 Cold Caller phobia a bit.

I don't think I noticed that the information was there until like the third or forth time through a run. I guess I was too busy trying to watch him, and the other players to see the text. As to the guide, I would add that one or two of your best hitters should go behind him and aim for the door when its open to stun, while the rest fan out in front of, and/or slightly to the side of him and try both to stun him, and knock him back when he is stunned. You do not want to all stand in a cluster since doing so will make it harder for your shots to get to him (they will keep hitting the other players) and he will concentrate his attack in that area. If you are all spread out, he doesn't attack just one single area. Also, DON'T STAND RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR ON THE FRONT SIDE! Players will stand pretty far back on the front side and try and hit the door. If you stand right in front, not only will you be hit by him more, you will make it almost impossible for a pie to go into his door. When you get injured (fall below 30lp) you need to just go stand in front of a toon that is your same height or shorter. Don't bother to say 'help!' or 'I need a tune up', the time it took for you to move your mouse over there, you probably lost another 10 in a jump he did. You must pick a same size/shorter toon or you won't get hit. If you have the small toon size on, you will find it hard to get healed unless someone else is also small in your group. A large toon will throw right over a small/normal toon. If someone comes and stand right in front of you while you are throwing, don't move away! They need to be healed. You can try and click on them to see how much hit points they have if you think you can do so without loosing site of whether he is jumping or not. Anything above 50 - 60 is enough. Once you heal a toon up past that, you may move aside if they don't move. Keeping yourself, and your team healed is the most important factor in the final battle. You need a fairly full group to survive it since he will start back up the ramp if you are not quick enough at pushing him back. I have beaten him twice with only 4 people in the VP battle, it may be possible with only 3 if they are pretty good. I don't think you have a great shot with only 1 or 2 of you so keep everyone alive!

thanks for taking time to write up tips on fighting the vp! Ozzie (been playing most recently) is only a level 2 cold caller but i havent had anyone tell me to leave. then again he has the gags to make it thru the cog battles before the vp.
before the update, i wasnt able to make it thru a single vp battle without the svr disconnecting me. i was so frustrated i didnt even go to chq for awhile. since it appears Disney has worked out that issue i made it thru twice and it was easy with no lag. these tips you guys wrote up will help me out since i'm still new to the vp battles! is it true that some toons dont want to go in the elevator with cold caller lev1's (maybe 2's too?)? i check their gags, then laff, then level of cog disguise they have, in that order of importance to me. having the gags to be an asset in the cog battles is a must and if you cant afford to lose laff pts during the vp battle then you prob shouldnt be there. i'm inexperienced but when i'm there, i'm paying total attn to where my pies are going, where the vp's gears are being thrown, and when the vp is getting ready to jump! i'd love to hear more strategy hints on how to aim the blasted pies where i want them to go Margo
