I don't mind a new toon using a new toy on a bunch of cogs that I have lured.

I do mind it when they have around 20 laff, come into the factory, jump on the elevator, and *then* proceed to sound my lures. There are just so many things such a toon has to ignore to get to this point. They have to:
  1. Ignore their toon tasks
  2. Leave Toontown Central and head of Daisy Gardens
  3. Evade higher level cogs
  4. Leave Daisy Gardens for the Sellbot HQ
  5. Evade even higher level cogs
  6. Evade the miriad cogs in the HQ and make their way to the factory
  7. Jump onto the factory elevator, when they probably have never jumped onto a cog building elevator before

Now, I won't be mean to them. I'll exit if all I have is low level toons. Why waste my time? If they have 35 points or more, I will give them a chance. It it becomes clear that they really don't know how to battle, I'll exit. I won't say mean things, I'll just let them learn on their own.

The problem is, I've met too many who sound my lure, get hit by cogs, scream for a toon up, and when I tell them to pass, so I can lure again, they do sound again, get hit by the cogs again, scream louder that they need a toon up, so I toon them up, they use sound again, they hit him again, they scream for another toon up, and when I'm so low on laff that I run away, they say that I stink.

*sigh* If I can't win, I run.

60??? It really isn't how many laff you have, it's how good you are with the gags you have. Last time I succeeded with the VP, a 47 laffer made it through, while a 63 laffer got sad. The difference? The 47 knew how to fight.

A group of 50 laffers can make it through the factory, with only a bit of luck, and good fighting skills.

If they can make it on their own, there is no reason to let them die.

Being hit by a couple of those will teach the lesson that this is a tough area and needs to be avoided until you're strong enough! Showing low toons the shortcut only allows them to bypass the very limit that many of us have asked for! If you go through the boiler room it adds one short fight but forces you to go through the warehouse with the goons still there. That way you don't have to teach a smaller toon a "lesson," instead the game corrects itself as designed.

So, my thought is: when with small uninvited toons in the factory do not use the shortcut!!!
i know this is an old post and the lookout has been fixed but if you happen to get a coat tail rider or a noob who plays really bad take it one step further, do not take out the cogs in the warehouse run straight thru the goons! a high laff toon can take a couple hits but iv never seen a 50 do it!

ya 60 is a little drastic for the factory, its not that hard, anyway from the looks of this thread people have been beating this topic to death and have gotten nowhere. Maybe we should just all agree we have different styles and standards of play and leave it at that. If you see me in the factory and decide not to tune somebody and i do you have 2 choices, bail or continue playing and vice versa. I kinda agree with lots of things said here Im just not as hardlined as some

so my suggestion is we drop the topic and just play like we all "individually" want to, whaddya say?

I don't know what the rush is to get through the factory anyway. I have only one friend that likes to do the 'entire' factory. It is fun. We get jelly beans and extra gags, etc. And if you are with a small toon, a couple of jumps into the 'oils' pits, or what ever they are, will gain them very useful experience. Like, this is no place for them.

I sent an e-mail to Disney. I suggested that they make a laff limit to gaining Cog suit pieces. Let the lower laffers go into the factory, but they shouldn't be able to gain suite pieces until they are at least into the Dreamland toon tasks.

That would help a lot.
Go you... that is the ticket. I at first could only come up with the solution of not letting them in CQ. But while playing my neices toons I agree that we benefit using CQ to complete tasks. It is wonderful. A devishily easy priviledge that I feel will be soon snatched from us. But to not allow them suit parts still gains entrance in HQ, finishes tasks and also keeps them where they should not be.

Hmmmm

Did you see where there are now Sellbot Hq tasks available on test? According to a friend of mine who is on test one of the tasks is to help a new toon through the factory.

Looks like Disney is sticking to the premise that the factory is for everyone.

Maybe we should just stop the elevator dance and work together.

oh jeeze, they gotta be kidding! Their idea of new is 25 or less, while it can be done with little problem the question is should it be! only way id agree to this <like i have a choice> is if they made 1 district, just 1, where you needed 70 laff or more to get on the vp elevator

At least I hope its an elder task for beans i can take a pass on!

Meaness begets meaness.

I think that's probably why there is so much hatred in Toon town as it is. So please accept my sincere thank you for furthering the hatred agenda.

What a jerk

All I can say is what I jerk. If someone annoys you finish the building like an adult an then NEVER go with them again. That pretty childish behavior. Geez. I wonder if you are an adult yourself or a child. Wow.

King Nutty Featherton

PS I am a 103 almost maxed toon and I would NEVER do that. That is just rude and immature behavior. Yes I have had annyoing ppl with me but I just do what I came to do...act my age and never play with them again.

As long as Disney let's all laff levels be in all areas (I don't agree that they should) but as long as they do - I'm not going to take it upon myself to prove any thing. If I played aggressively toward others because of what I thought a player should or shouldn't be doing, it would ruin the game for me.

With that said, If you let others go sad and you feel justified in behaving such a way - then so be it. I really don't care how others chose to play, we all pay for our accounts and play within the perameters that Disney has given us.
