You don't deserve it mentality

As far as double posting, I was bored and reread some of the original post and had some additional posts. So what. I found the original post very disturbing. So now not only are you trying to control what everyone else is doing but now you are telling me how YOU think I should post. YOU obviously haven't read this thread in a few day and just decided to put your 2 cents in.

Me and family are trying to enjoy a game. I don' go where I'm not supposed to, but if I decided I wanted to, who are YOU to tell me and prevent me from doing it. Like it has been said, I paid my money to play, if you don't want to play with little folks then don't go in the factory with us.

Some folks have a god mentality. You think that you should decide to get 'rid' of folks that you don't think belongs at the elevator.

Hey, if they show up, don't get on it.

Unhappy alrighty then.

I can see both sides of this situation. YES, i understand there are kids playing. Yes, I know it's good to help others. Yes, I will help them, but not in the VP or in the factory. The point of this game is to have fun, right? Well, that's all fine and swell. BUT, the objective of the game is to advance. If your toon task is to "kill 4 cogs in TTC", then what are you doing at the sellbot HQ???????
Sure it seems like fun, b/c maybe you just got bored and wanted to do something else. But, what about the people that are there TRYING to advance? Why should they have to babysit all the noobies through the factory? I help out as much as I can, but the factory and vp should be left until the times is right....when u have most of your gags.

It is the most ridiculous thing to wait hours just go get on the elevator b/c newer toons don't seem to get the hint...."I think this is too risky for you!" Hello?!? That is under the "Friendly" section for a reason. When I say this, I'm not trying to be mean and evil! I'm simply trying to let you know you're not ready. Plus, after spending as long as I have b4 trying to get my merits, I don't want to go see the VP and die immediatly b/c noob hijacked the elevator. To become a level 12 Mr. Hollywood takes 10,000 merits!!! It's hard enough to get that many w/ high toons helping.

I don't think you should let the noobs go sad unless they won't help. Granted, the youngsters prob don't know how to use their gags in a strategic manner, so these I usually help. YET, when you get some that just stand there passing and passing, YES I LET THEM GO SAD. They are of no help to me and are just slowing me down. I have to work for my jellybeans too, and I don't think it's fair for them to take the credit for MY cog kills. If they don't have any gags, then please don't 'join' a fight.

I can't believe this thread has went on for this long! Wow! Anyway, Prof, I understand what you're saying, and I also understand what all the parents out there are saying. I guess it best just to stay out of everbody's way, if we should ever meet.

Too bad everyone can't just get along........oh well.

Is our own greed to blame?

As a player that is slowly coming around to the VP battle I'm still of a mixed heart as to the HQ and the factory runs. I find the factory runs incredibly mundane now, the same lvls of cogs in the same places with little or no variety. However I have started to meet and make new friends again, a strange requirement for a nearly maxxed toon (maxxed toons with lure can do just about whatever they want alone!).

However, it seems to me that our own greed for speed through the factory is creating our problems with low toons in to see the VP. The cog goons exist for a reason, if a low toon is a bad player they won't be able to avoid the searchlights on the goons. Being hit by a couple of those will teach the lesson that this is a tough area and needs to be avoided until you're strong enough! Showing low toons the shortcut only allows them to bypass the very limit that many of us have asked for! If you go through the boiler room it adds one short fight but forces you to go through the warehouse with the goons still there. That way you don't have to teach a smaller toon a "lesson," instead the game corrects itself as designed.

So, my thought is: when with small uninvited toons in the factory do not use the shortcut!!!

I too agree with Prof Peppy. He is a friend of mine & we play together a lot. Yes, I have been with him when we've had to "deal with" some annoying little toons. It just has to be done sometimes. We give them lots of warning before they even get on with us. But if they still get on & do any of the things that Peppy said, they're goners.

I hate doing the elevator shuffle in vp room with an uninvited noob. It's aggravating. So, if I let them get suit parts with me, wouldn't I be part of the cause of that?

I also see the other side of this, as I have a 5 year old that plays the game too. But, I do not allow my daughter to grief other toons. If she wants to do a factory run, she does it with me or one of my friends. She does have a cog suit, but she just likes to see herself in it. I would NEVER let her to bug people trying to go into the vp elevator or even the factory elevator.

So, I guess add mean ol' me onto your list with Peppy, Juggalo & Mac. I for one think all three of them rock!

The Shortcut - it should be a secret

I would suggest that no one show the lower laffers the short cut. I agree that once they run around with those laser things, they learn to jump or be sad.

I don't know what the rush is to get through the factory anyway. I have only one friend that likes to do the 'entire' factory. It is fun. We get jelly beans and extra gags, etc. And if you are with a small toon, a couple of jumps into the 'oils' pits, or what ever they are, will gain them very useful experience. Like, this is no place for them.

I sent an e-mail to Disney. I suggested that they make a laff limit to gaining Cog suit pieces. Let the lower laffers go into the factory, but they shouldn't be able to gain suite pieces until they are at least into the Dreamland toon tasks.

That would help a lot.

For most of my SF and me, we do not need cogs to finish tasks, we do not need XP for gags. The only thing left to do is get parts and beat the VP, so the rest of the factory is a waste of time. It is not fun to do the whole factory when you only need pieces. You do the whole factory when you need 3000 merits.

I hope you now know what the rush is to get throught the factory.

Except, they never learn it. They hop off as well. Most of them know they can't make it alone. They will only get on with high level toons. They've done this before. They know the ins and outs of the factory. It shows.

Inexperienced toons work on their tasks. They don't go into areas that are obviously dangerous. The ones who do this are probably on their second or third toon, and just trying to leech off others.

Cant we all just get along...Where is the love ya'll?

I read a good portion of this thread and all I gotta say, is the same thing I always say..I'll play with anyone in TT, I don't care what gags you got..LOL

My last 3 VP trips, I woofed it. I walked in the door, right up to the lift and I hopped on. Of course tonight I died, but I'll be back in tomorrow!

As long as you know strategy, everything else is pure luck.

Btw: I just wanted to say that the CC Level 1's in there played better than the 2 Minglers that were kind enough to store their tune-ups for later use..ugh! I didn't die because of low laffers playing ability, I died due to lack of compassion showed by the other 103's towards the low laffers.

Honestly, some people can really ruin the fun.

Last Saturday, I did a VP run where, after the first round, we had only four left. I should have realized something was up when we seemed to keep getting more cogs.

The game split us up into 2 and 2 for the second round. The other group went sad fairly quickly. It was just me and one other toon to try and make it.

We almost made it to the VP. There were 2 cogs left when I, the last one, finally went sad.

What's my point? Too many toons do the elevator dance because one low level toon got on the elevator. As was mentioned in another thread, one toon alone can beat the VP. If we lose half of our company after only the first round and almost make it to the third, one low level toon is not, I repeat, NOT going to ruin your chances of making it.
