All I can say is wow, what a *bleep* you are. I got this game for my kids and play one char and I see that this Cog HQ brings out some real mean and nasty folks.

Think I will stick to finding nice folks to play this game with and ignore the evil power trip folk.

There are a few really nasty people out there, but they seem to me to be pretty few and far between. One example that I saw two nights ago though. My wife was playing (72, never really played any video game before so she is a newbie even at 72) and needed a 5 story in DL. She found one that had two people in front of it and asked if they would like some help. Both other toons said yes and she called one of her friends to join so that they would have a full group. As soon as they got into the building, one of the two strangers started saying 'you stink' over and over and over again and used gags to mess up the others. There did not seem to be any cause for it. No one said anything to him, nor did they do any dumb moves that could tick the guy off. He just seemed to want to make someone unhappy. When they finished the first floor, the three normal toons hopped onto the elevator (I would have probably just bailed with my friend if it were me) and the guy stood outside of it waving and saying 'see ya!' and the like. He did that for about a minute and then got on the elevator and said 'ha ha!' This guy carried on like this for the entire building. I was surprised that he actually got on every floor and went to the top. I had told my wife that she should bail becuase the guy would likely ditch them somewhere before the end (had it happen to me like that under the same conditions).

You cannot go anywhere in life where you are immune to nasty/mean people and online games are no exception. In fact, it is more common here due to the fact that people can hide behind their computers. Don't be shocked by what others do, just accept it as part of this experience and do what you can to work around it.

I think the underlying point here was missed. The bluntness at the way this thread started makes everyone think the author is being mean and vindictive. I dont see this as the case (but I am not saying I have never been wrong) Freeloading (or stowaways, or elevator hijackers) low laff toons that get their cog suits are wasting lots of peoples time when it comes to fighting the VP. I personaly dont want to waste anyone elses time. If I pull a low laffer through and give them a suit piece on a silver platter, I am ultimately wasting 7 other toons time latter on, when that low laffer tries to hijack a VP elevator. By letting the low laffer who was told "this is too risky for you " go sad in the factory, he is wasting no one elses time other than his own. I think that is the way it should be, you get in over your head you go sad, that is the way the game has been made. It all stems back to the fact it is too easy for the low laffer to get back to the factory. I think they should maybe not block it off to little ones, but make it so when you go sad you go back to the last playground you have tp access to instead of the current playground of the land you are in. If they got sent back to ttc every time and had to run the streets all the way back, they may work on their tasks instead of hanging out in DDL and COG HQ.

I have a slightly more passive-aggressive method of dealing with lower laff toons in the factory. I do NOT drop down off of the lookout, but go through the Boiler Room. That weeds them out when they have to contend with the goons in the Warehouse.

A. They are genuinely EXCITED and are paying more attention to what they are doing than what you are doing.

B. They think they are helping (whether or not you think they are) and are happy that they can hit all the cogs at once with their new gag

C. They have NO IDEA that a bike horn un-lures cogs or what the implications of un-luring the cogs are, and even if you explain it to them... well... see reason A again.

I would think if you can't comprehend that this May be why things like this happen... or why low-laff toons want to go see the VP (if you only knew how many times my 5 year old asked "is COG HQ open yet mom" between last february and december)... or why they want to do buildings in dreamland or be your friend or ANYthing... if you can't understand this stuff, then maybe you should choose to play a game that isn't rated for KIDS.

a Mom
I do have a kid that plays this game. He also know better than to go to HQ. I do not allow him to just run around and grief higher toons.

I also have 3 kids that play this game ages 13 and twins that are 11. The highest is 56 LP and the lowest is 37. They no better than to go to Sellbot HQ and grief the higher toons. They have seen me in the VP battle and know that they need more LPs and more gags to battle the VP. The highest one has his suit but he knows that he is not ready yet.

U Bastage U

U let me go sad

Why did U do it?

All I wanted was MY suit. I have a right to that suit. Its in the game I deserve to have one. U elite toons should help us out man. I might only have 25 lafs but I can throw a mean pie slice.

I thought you were joking

Meaness begets meaness.

I think that's probably why there is so much hatred in Toon town as it is. So please accept my sincere thank you for furthering the hatred agenda.
Yeah so whats with the double post??? Do you have an Edit post issue or do you just like to read yourself and answer your own post?

Hey, 10 laffers or 105 laffers(i know we start at 15)

Lose the serious effect. It is scary. OMG at worst what happens, oh, I don't know, couple legs, arms? WHOOPDEEDOO!!!It was life sacrificing to get them in the first place. It is a game. play it again, really, you can, I promise. Disney lets you.

wanna know what else???

I am 100 laffer. Played for over a year. 30 years old. Now, I have been extremely leary going into the vp thing. I have tried 4 times and lost. Even after reading this site. Reason: higher toons jumped off as the door was closing. Thank you. I have also read that you higher toons don't like to go in with level one cold callers. Ok. Did I miss something? Is this game for only "special" toons? I understand that some lower toons will die. Let them.
It is the only way they will learn. At your expense you may ask? Absolutely. It is a game and I swear you don't really DIE.

Hmm.....

Think me bad if you will but I'm a toon that loves to help the little guy but..... don't think toons with less than 30 laff should go inside the factory and to those toons that do and get their suit please do us all a favor and wait till you have more laff and stronger gags before you attempt a VP battle.

I was doing the elevator shuffle the other day and suddenly here I was with 2 other maxxed toons (I'm maxxed too making 3) we were with a bunch of 62's some less and one 82 which gags weren't so good. After the second cog battle the 4 on the other side were all dead. All I could think was OMG! The 82 laffer was the first to go then the one other maxxed toon leaving me and a 62 lafer lol what a joke.

We may have made it if when I went to toon him up he would still throw but he wouldn't??? So after awhile of doing this I was just like gee wiz this is stupid since we weren't getting any where. So I just went sad and oh well who cares my bank in full of jellybeans lol. And that my friend is the good part lol!!!

Oh ya and BTW Dusty McGaget is my SF and wouldn't trade him for nothing so

And BTW yes kids do play this game it is a game for kids so those adults that are playin please remember to be fair to other toons no matter what! Use toon up when needed and remember it is a game that is all and don't take it to serious or you may ruin the game for others.

Bull. So you do this whith only 2 toons? YOu and "Newbie"
I usually go in the factory with atleast 1 SF. No need to hop on the elevator with strangers.

All the solutions that have been posted here require me to go into the elevator and then TP to get rid of these bothersome toons. Why should I have to leave my factory run in order to save a toon that was not invited in the first place?

You are saying that I am going out of my way to make this bothersome toon go sad. When in fact I am not. I can click pass just as easy as I can click a gag.

For those of you who help them get through the factory, but do not allow them into the VP with you, you are just creating problems for others. If you stop them at the factory, you will not have the VP problem.

I do put the blame on Disney for this problem. If they would just have made it a requirement to finish the burgh before you can go to HQ, we would not have this problem.

In my posts, I have not singled out any individual toon, but yet alot of you have stooped to name calling. I have never killed a toon that has not been bothersome. Maybe 50 was a bad number to choose, but what is your number?

As far as the toon that does not carry toonup, I will heal them, but not when they keep asking for it. I know how to play, I know when a toon needs a toonup.

Many of you think this way, but I just wrote it down.

I would continue, but I am in the middle of a VP battle now, and we just finished the skellies.

I agree with Prof Peppy.....and I'm known to do some of the same things that he decribes.....(add me to the list too)

Im happy to see all the ANGELS out there, but the truth is....when I started my noob, I got alot of the same reactions from High Laffers, and this was before COG HQs! This was just in regular cog buildings....And now everyone is so~ helpful.....Please....I don't buy it...Where were you guys when Skitzow was just a regular noob? Probably telling him, "I think this is too risky for you" and "Please go away"

Up until recently, (After the post "Skitzow the 25 laffer, defeted the VP") I had continued to see it from both ends....as both a Maxxed toon and as a Noob....so, In true Juggalo form, all I have to say is, "I don't believe this!"

Peppy.....you rock! See you in Toontown!

Ok, sure, this is mean, but my friends and I will not let anybody in the factory live no matter what If they are 60 laff or lower. We do NOT want these people at the vp elevator. Sorry to 60- people, please just try to work on your laff and gags. Cog HQ is for the end of the game.

I totally agree with Prof Peppy and Fat Bebop.
Today I go in the factory and there are three toons with me, all of which are 44, 42, and 35.
One dies because my lure misses. unintentional, and the other two don't even help me fight in the silos. They just stood there and waited. I didn't want to tele out of there since I've already gone all that way. So there I am, 50-somthing laff left and I go in center. They just stand on door while I fight the center. I lure, take 2 of the 7 cogs out. Now they jump in. And what do they do, they use baby sound. UGH. So after getting swept by the Mingler and 11 skeleton, they die. I'm left with around laff in the teens. My lure works and I take out remaining cogs. Got out with 4 or 5 laff. Oye vei.
Frustrates me to think soon they will be venturing into VP. I'm not in the mood to babysit anymore.
