i went with a group that were all high except this one walk in toon that was 40ish laff pt. All i can say is that he was sounding to my lure. He almost got me killed!!! We tried to warn this toon that it was too risky for him. He went with us anyway. I let him die after he sounded with a whistle to my lured for the second time. If he had played well he would have defeated the VP with us. What i am trying to say here is that low laffers need to stay to their tasks. Ok to do the factory run with me to help with sellbot tasks, but not the VP. You dont get any gag points with the VP.

Disney should have a block for laffers lower than 50 into the vp building. This would save everyone from doing the shuffle!!!

Well

I did something like this [letting them die] to a 50ish one time. Me and my constant companion (you know who you are) were doing a factory run, and he jumps in at the last minute. Of course, I was chatting away with my friend, and the little guy doesn't like it. He does the machine-gun chat (hit junk letters and then enter) to annoy us, and refuses to do anything helpful. Therefore, I tell my SF to wait at the balcony (we pushed him through to save time) and took him to battle the four cogs at the switches.

At this point, he so kindly chooses to use his bike horn. I, of course, pass. He gets hammered, and we go through another round. He squeaks his horn, and I pass. The toon gets down to one LP. This whole time I have been saying "Don't be mean!" and "OK" to him, trying to tell him he has been rude. At 1 LP, he gets the message and says "OK, Sorry." So I toon him up, and he lives.

After that, he was as nice as you can be. We finished the factory without another rude peep out of him.

Take that how you will.

Jeremy

BTW - has anyone soloed the factory? I did it this week. I was very very lucky - lure never missed, and the cogs always missed :-) I think SOS cards are a good potential way of doing it, but that's not really soloing...

I would try to, because of the post he makes here....(that is a joke btw for those of you without a sense of humor)

Ok so lets say we keep taking lvl 40 toons with lvl 4 gags over and over again.

Now we have 5000 toons lvl 40 with suits cloging up the VP elevators griefing all the advanced players. Then we will see how helpful you guys really are. Most 100+ toon run at the site of a sub 60 toon with a suit.

I have not seen any group take a toon along with them that was a lvl 40-50 that was just hanging around the VP lift

I dont mind helping a lower lvl toon get X number of lvl 8+ cogs with a factory run. Or a key from a Mingler. Or Hollywoods. But if you wont tell me your task then your mooching, and I wont help a moocher.

Sorry, call me a meanie too...... But when I first started this game way back yonder I NEVER went into Dreamland until I was invited by SFs and I was a lvl 60+ toon then. Even then I was scared I was a burden to them. But this attitude that because "I can, therefore I will" has got to go... DO YOUR TASK!!! THE VP IS NOT A TASK FOR ANYONE MUCH LESS A 30-50 laf TOON.

I agree with ya Peppy Sadness to the lower laf toons.

not mean????

I'm not sure there's any way I could convince you that what you're doing is mean if you can't see it yourself. Not sure if you have kids or not, or if you even understand that Children play this game... If the bike horn is their newest gag, you bet they're going to use it on lured cogs because

A. They are genuinely EXCITED and are paying more attention to what they are doing than what you are doing.

B. They think they are helping (whether or not you think they are) and are happy that they can hit all the cogs at once with their new gag

C. They have NO IDEA that a bike horn un-lures cogs or what the implications of un-luring the cogs are, and even if you explain it to them... well... see reason A again.

I would think if you can't comprehend that this May be why things like this happen... or why low-laff toons want to go see the VP (if you only knew how many times my 5 year old asked "is COG HQ open yet mom" between last february and december)... or why they want to do buildings in dreamland or be your friend or ANYthing... if you can't understand this stuff, then maybe you should choose to play a game that isn't rated for KIDS.

I have a little toon (82 laff and no fog) so I always ask at elevator if they can help me or if they would like some help. I never cut into elevator when I see toons trying to get a group together.
All the big guys have to say is No or No thankyou. That should be enough.

If u ARE talking about the VP, i really agree, im gonna fight the vp atleast at 90 laff.

Red face

Being a Mom myself and with both 3 and 6 year old playing toontown, I see both sides of the story.

I would like to say that my kids stay away from the factory, VP and Dreamland. They just know that they need to stick to their tasks (well the 3 year old just stays in TTC, he gets killed every 2 seconds-lol).

If an older kid is playing then he should ask before going in the factory or even the VP. Manners please! I'm a 103 laffer and i always ask.

However there are even adults and older kids that dont ask and are low laffers. They just want to build their gags up super fast or see the VP!

I played with Pro. Peppy last nite and i have played with Dusty in the past, and I will continue playing with them. They are good players, i just might not agree that about making all low laffers or no tune-ups toon sad (only if they truely asked for it).

Kids that are low laffers, please always ask before going in! It would make things alot easier for us instead of jumping in. By the way...Good Luck! If you need help on task just ask and if I am not busy I would be glad to help.

Committing Toon Homisad

Whether it's fighting the vp or not, it's still the kind of behavior that I've grown accustomed to seeing from a lot of higher laff toons.

It's those kinds of toons that also get ME sad while they are 'getting' even with lower laff toons. I am an 83 laffer so I don't count myself as one of those he'd screw over, I would ultimately pay with my sadness, because one toon let go sad is one toon less to fight whether a big toon or not.

Sad that this big toon don't have enough guts to accept the challenge of keeping these toons 'happy'

Thumbs down PS Reaping what you sew

See the thing is, young people are going to get real P.O.'d at what you are doing and they will start doing it. And they may not care what your laff points are or what you say. Wouldn't it be a great game if people just went around doing really nasty things. Which has already started.

Meaness begets meaness.

I think that's probably why there is so much hatred in Toon town as it is. So please accept my sincere thank you for furthering the hatred agenda.
