I don’t get on the elevator unless I have checked the toons stats. Once the doors close it takes something dramatic to get me to want to hole/port-out. It is bad form to leave 2 people hanging just to teach 1 a lesson. I feel it is like lying to them. You can come up with all sorts of reasons to be untrustworthy but they are just excuses for bad behavior.
Just today getting on the VP elevator 7 of us were above 90 and one at 73. I checked the 73 and they had maxed squirt and throw. Tune-up was at level 5. I saw no problem and most of us were saying happy things as the elevator doors closed. We had just spent 15 minutes dancing with a 44 trying to get on the elevator. Just as the doors closed 2 level 102s jumped off and left 6 of us hanging because they didn’t like a 73 going to the VP. I wish I had their names. You’ll say that they thought it was the 44 that had gotten on the elevator? Some of them had been playing dancing games with us and the level 73 previously. I thought that they had stayed off the elevator and left spots open for those of us that thought having 1 level 73 was ok. Totally rude and crude type of person that gets on the elevator taking a space that others want while fully intending to get off and leave everyone hanging. On the flip side I went into the factory with 2 101s and a low laugher and the low laugher would hang by the side saying, “Sorry I cant” while we battled the cogs. The low laugher would join in at the end of each battle. I kept asking the high laughers, “Lets go” and “Run” but they stayed with it to the end. I checked the low laugher and they had gags that they could use. I now think that I should have set an example for the other two high laughers and bugged out. This low laugher will be one of those that will give us all headaches at the VP elevator. I still feel that we should not get on the elevator unless we plan to see the battle to the end and we should only port out if someone is extremely rude. If I find a somewhat rude toon I finish what I committed to and write the toons name down for future reference. Most of us getting on the VP elevator now have many SOS cards. I have 5. Many toons getting on the elevator are a much higher cog level than I am. Some are a Mister Hollywood. With the right SOS cards we could have 4 high laughers and 4 mid level laughers and still make it through the VP. I am seeing very little reason now for everyone to play rude games for 30 minutes on the elevator just to keep 1 level 60 off. Especially with some high laughers having a large number of SOS cards. Heck, where else are we going to use the SOS cards? WOW this is a long rant .... Sorry

oh come on, its JUST a game.
HAVE FUN. If it was a battle with the VP then i could understand it, but calling someone a LOSER, when you didnt even ASK why he left. You all are strong enough, and it was 1 toon. Be happy that atleast some toons stayed.

Ok, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Ok, maybe he had to leave.
Couldn't he have said, "sorry" or "I have to go?" Not just sneak over in the corner and leave. It's not like he disco'd. He went over to a corner and pulled out his hole. And if he was such a high laffer, why didn't he know before going in the building that he wouldn't be able to finish it. We had just cleared the lobby and had lined up in the stomper ?? room for battle. I am just saying that maxxed toons are getting really stinky attitudes about anyone not maxxed being in cog hqtrs. Even reading some posts here, I understand that there are some maxxes that go out of their way to mess over lower laffer even if it hurts other toons to do it. I can understand not taking a lower laffer in to see the VP but come on, the factory is a different story. Now, I would necessarily take a teentoon but one mid 20's won't hurt a group of 4 in the factory. |

"Couldn't he have said, "sorry" or "I have to go?" Not just sneak over in the corner and leave. It's not like he disco'd. He went over to a corner and pulled out his hole. " He may have needed to go in a hurry. If you had an emergency come up at your home, would you take the time to say "i need to go"? Or would you log off and take care of business? It is also possible that someone in your group did something that made them mad (read my thread on walking a mile in a high toon's shoes). "And if he was such a high laffer, why didn't he know before going in the building that he wouldn't be able to finish it. We had just cleared the lobby and had lined up in the stomper ?? room for battle. " You had stated earlier that you were near the end of the factory (unless I was mistaken). The stomper room is nowhere near the end. This leaves open the possibility that he ditched for many other reasons such as a friend that was in dire need of help. "I am just saying that maxxed toons are getting really stinky attitudes about anyone not maxxed being in cog hqtrs. Even reading some posts here, I understand that there are some maxxes that go out of their way to mess over lower laffer even if it hurts other toons to do it. " No one would have to 'mess over' lower toons if they would just accept the 'no thank you' and not try and hijack the elevator in the first place. If you only go with toons that want to go with you in the first place, you are less likely to get 'messed over' "I can understand not taking a lower laffer in to see the VP but come on, the factory is a different story. Now, I would necessarily take a teentoon but one mid 20's won't hurt a group of 4 in the factory. " First off, someone in their 20's isn't likely to make it through the warehouse since the goons hit for 20 damage and it isn't easy for anyone to make it through (without the shortcut) without getting hit by at least one. If you also get smacked by one on the catwalks leading to the warehouse, a 35 is dead. Second, the reason higher toons do not want to help lower toons in the factory is that this will help them get a full suit and promotion slip and will lead to that lower toon trying to do a VP run. There is no way around this. If you help them get their suit they WILL try and go. You cannot seperate these two. Now, haven't we beaten a dead horse long enough? You will have many more run ins with nasty players. If you can't take it, go play a nice offline game where you are sheltered from other humans. Or, just get used it and try and have as much fun as you can with those who are friendly! Good Luck!

Hi Everyone, I don't post here very much but I come here to read your posts and it helps alot. My husband and I play a toon, Mr. Jake Kookymouth. Our toon is maxed with 102 lp. I would really like to agree with the person on here who said that the toons come up to you now and insist you be your friend ask you about 4 times follow you around give stinky noises. I am not going to make friends with anyone that I havent even talked to or played with. The agressiveness in the factory, daisy gardens area is scary. They also say "follow me" and say do this do that, totally bossy. I wouldn't dream of asking or telling an older toon what to do when we were at that level, didn't even ask to be friends with an older toon, I figured if they liked me and wanted to be my friend they would ask me. We will not help toons with low lp get through the factory that just means they will be clogging up the VP elevator, and they will not go, so we end up having to find another district in order to leave them. I don't really think hopping off the elevator is very nice either, we will just leave saying this is not what I am looking for. Please just finish your toontasks and get your toon up there and then we can all have fun. Thanks Mr. Jake Kookymouth

No Time to play
I admit that sometimes I will log on for like a half an hour in the mornings. I will run around and get beans or shop in the cattlelog or maybe a cog or two that I need. However, knowing my time is short, I won't start anything in the building or in the hqtrs.
As far as leaping out to go to his buddy somewhere, that's really a lame excuse. He still could have said something. And we were not at the end. We had just left the lobby. We went down the hall to the left, through that little room and were lining up against the cogs just before the catwalk. And as far as mid 20's not getting past the bots on the cat walk, that's not that big of a deal if you pounce on them and knock them out. I think that alot of people are too worried that the other toons might get a piece of suit and not about the spirit of the game. As far as that fight was concerned, the big guy approached us as we waited. He didn't have to go with us. He could see what I had with me. There was another toon coming out of the tunnel that could have gone with us instead of him. There was no elevator shuffle. We just got in and went. There was no s/f chatting, just everyone working together I thought. I am sorry, you can't justify bad behavior with 'oh, i am tired of little guys trying to get on the vp elevator'. |
