Cashbot Coin Mint Help
Hi, my daughter has tried about 10 times to get through the final jumping sequence in the cashbot coin mint without success. I gave it a shot and am also Control Key challenged, hitting the floor repeatedly and not making it beyond that that last smashing thing.
Does anyone have any tips for jumping or how to make it through this area? Thanks. |

What I do is jump in the hole and then wait as soon as it starts raising up, jump and hit fwd key to run to the closest hole. It has more to do with timing than tricks. Good luck and hope she can get the hang of it soon. My mom gets really squished going through there still and she's been at it awhile!

Thanks for the help. Any tips though for getting through the last ( I think its the last) jumping sequence? Where you have to get on the other side of the wall. You climb the stairs and jump from box pile to box pile and onto the turning gear thing. Then jump onto the higher stack. You run under the hammer smashing thing.
Thanks again, Toons. |

I have found the "turning gear thing" to be very challenging as well. I try to approach it at an angle and view the gear levels as steps going forward and jumping up at the same time; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. As far as the hammer smashing thing, as other toons have suggested, I try to get as close as possible to the "hammer" and then run like crazy when it lifts up high enough for my toon to fit under it.

The Big Gear Room
OK, this question lured me out of lurkdom.. I think the repliers are misunderstanding OPs question. You're talking about the "big gear" room, with the single large horizontally rotating gear and all the jumps between boxes to make, right? Not the "big stomper" room with all the holes or the "stacked gear" room with the many vertical jumps.
The big gear room was a nightmare for me until I learned two techniques: 1) Normal way - actually doing the jumps instead of glitching I would *always* fall on the stomper jump or the one after until I learned that I had to hit the jump key more than once for these jumps. Try hitting ctrl 2 or 3 times for these jumps and you may have better luck. 2) Glitch way This seems to be done by about 75% of people. <pm me for it> But depending on your computer and internet connection, this glitch may be easy to do, or impossible. See this thread for more: Shortcut in a $ mint...."How'd you do that??" I would recommend going in with SFs or just waiting until your group leaves you behind. (If you say "I'm stuck" and "Bye!", and stop moving, it shouldn't take long.) Then you can practice either method until you get it down. Hope this helps! THANK YOU!!!
I'm glad we aren't the only ones who had trouble with this. I've noticed Toons going over to the toon up barrel and then winding up on the platform. I'll check out the glitch and see if its doable on our machine (A Mac desktop). |

Practice Runs... :)
Hello there!
![]() If you go into the mint with a little toon, you have a VERY good chance of hitting most obstacles before coming face to face with cogs. If you get off the elevator and get cogs, just run back to the playground (you will actually be right back in Cashbot HQ). Go back into the elevator and try again! It may take a few trys, but you will have the opportuntity to practice all the obstacles. In my experience, the higher the floor, the better chance of getting obstacles. So this is what I suggest, create a little toon (or use one that you might already have with nothing to lose) that is the same species/size as the toon you play with regularly. The downfall to using a small toon is you go sad more easily. You could also take your actual toon in, but I would not recommend it if you have any gags of value - use your best judgement. I just make sure I go into an empty district so that there are not any other toons looking to do an actual run (courtesy gesture). I can now go through all the obstacles with ease (computer delays are still a pain, but at least it's not as nerve-wracking as before) LOL Good luck and have fun!
