The bad thing about my video is that I started lagging during the scaling round so I turned it off. I do have small clips of my scale round showing how I dodge the evidence from a distance, but I have no video of it while I was up close. I was asked by someone else also and will be working on that this week. I am going to run another BW50 CJ (maybe go in with a group and ask them to leave after the cogs) and record only the scale round so that people can see how I dodge the cogs evidence. Dodging evidence and exactly how I did it is the most common question I received yesterday and will post a video soon as long as my computer permits me to record. Lag can get bad in the CJ, especially a BW50 CJ due to all the gavels that are there.

I have a few questions..
How long did it take for you in the scale round?
If it took long, did the cogs speed up to you? Did that give you any problems..if so how did you deal with the cogs speed-throwin at ya?
Anddd..I know wen i went in for a practice run, i only seated 3 and i sumhow couldnt reach that far so i hadda jump while throwing evidence..do you think that slowed me down a lil bit? Did you reach the scale from where you were?

Thanks!!! Well I didnt time myself, but I am able to go back and see the time on my video and the time my pics were taken. The Cog round took me 44 min and the scale round took me 27 min plus or minus a few seconds for each. So I was not in there too long.

I did a practice round where I basically scaled and sat around watching the cogs. I was in there for about 1 hr and did not notice the evidence get any faster. They followed the same cycle I outlined within my explanation. The evidence does not get faster, the cogs just throw more often.

As for some of my calculations, you can defeat 10 cogs with 3 seated, but it will take a long while because you are barely beating all 10 cogs with enough weight to come out on top each scale cycle. Once scale cycle to me is going to get evidence, unloading, then going back to get more. I know the scale is high with 3 toons seated, but its possible. I think you jumping and scaling sure did slow you down a lot, because you dont throw as much evidence as if you were to be standing still. If you seat 3, you might need to get up close and aim your evidence high for a bit until you can reach it from a distance.

With 4 toons seated yes I was able to reach the scale from my position from long distance scaling. It was not difficult to get almost all of my evidence in.

I am posting this video of me scaling and dodging the from afar. This video is only a few seconds long, but I have slowed it down by 70% so that you can see when the cogs target and when they throw and so that you can see how the evidence passes me by as I move to the left.

I will make another video that is in more detail sometime this weekend that outlines more of my long distance scaling and also short distance scaling. I did not have any video from the point I was scaling up close during my solo CJ due to the lag, but I will make one more this weekend. I hope this video is helpful.

oo so thats the stradegy u used?

wen i went in for my practice, i would throw a few evidence then i would jump over to my left about one step rite wen the cogs aim for me and i never get hit..rarely anyways. this really works..maybe it works better..but i notice on ur video u ran all the way to the end of the gavel before you decided to throw more evidence at the pan. but if u keep doin the stradegy where u keep movin about 1 or 2 step to the left while jumpin, that rly saves time and it works rly well if u do it right. u will also manage to get in a lot of evidence also..

neways the video was really short lol, but it showed wat soloing was like to ppl who has never seen it, so thanks!

I know the video is short, because I just didn't record much due to me lagging while I was recording. I had to turn the program off because I was lagging so bad, and its very evident on the video due to how far to the left I moved. Its not necessary to move that much, you just need a few steps to the side and the evidence will miss.

One thing that I did fail to make clear is that the best position to scale from a distance is to start off just to the left after you get evidence (just out of the harms way of that gavel next to the stand). Throw your evidence at the scale then move left, then throw some more and move left again until you are all the way to the end by where the last gavel is located. If you continue this technique you will get in lots of evidence, but just remember as time moves on the cogs start to throw evidence more often.
