I have been a member for almost 5 yrs. I recently (last 3 mos) started playing again after taking a break for several yrs. One of the reasons I stopped was the elevator hopping. I see Disney tried to address the problem but it hasn't helped. It takes more than 30 mins to finally get on a vp elevator b/c of the amount of people waiting and then hopping off. Half the time I cant see the timer due to so many people. It isn't like you can go to another district....I have only found 2 districts (nutty river and nutty summit) with anyone waiting and both are packed out. I don't know what can be done to change this but I really wish something would happen. At least 5 or 6 times waiting to get on I watch someone left alone when the doors close. Me being one of them 3 times now. (btw, I am lvl 107, all gags, 3 maxed, lvl 5 cog...i dont know what name atm). I'm sure people have written Disney asking for something to be done but maybe I should write them too. I'm not a hopper, unless everyone leaves me. I don't mind the low toons b/c a good example is a toon I saw today. Lvl 35, 4 maxed gags, but needed 2500 merits. I don't know what cog lvl that makes him but he obviously is capable of fighting the vp.

Two words: Pathetic cowards.
They'll take one look at a Cold Caller level 1 and freak out. And the reason is simple -- toons are afraid to lose and repeat the whole process of finding a decent team. Since lower level suits are newer to the whole boss battle thing, they don't do as great as us higher, more expierenced toons. My best opinion is to find a group of friends, have your friends summon their friends, and go in. Your second best option is to join the Cold Callers Guild (ccg.toontowncentral.com) and go with their members, whom are much more polite than those nasty shufflers. Hope this helps. ![]() |

Lilly is right. Come on guys, win or loose, its still fun! Its not the end of the world if you loose, all you have to do it get laff, get gags and get going to do another V.P.! No matter what the laff, you still have chances of winning or loosing.

One word: Pathetic.
Toontown has tried to fix this by the, 'When you hop off, wait for the next elevator,' thing, but the fact is, no one is going to stop hopping off. Most of these elevator hoppers are toons who think that high laff toons will just carry them through, and they won't. Complaining won't do anything, either, so I don't even see why we all are. |

Hopping off is probably inevitable. But what about limiting the number of ppl allowed to go through the doors toward the vp elevator? Would that cut down the time spent trying to get on? Or, maybe it would force ppl to go to the other districts. I don't know the solution. I just wish there was some way to cut down some of the chaos/time of getting on.

That was always a problem when I was vping - I am maxed now so I don't do it as much but when I do vp, I try to go with all lower level cogs just to help them. It is lousy that people do that and some people do it to play around - or to irritate those around them (not sure which).
