ok went on the elevator today, one toon hopped off right when the doors were closing, no biggie, so i thought, well some went ahead and alt f4ed before we got to the 1st battle, ok so we went in with 6, 3 on each side, next thing i know is 2 on my side went ahead and disconnected, so that leaves me and my sos cards, so i thought ok i can make it through until other side is done and they can help me, thank goodness for lure and the sos heals, but nooooo some on the other side i guess figured that only 4 here no way we can win, so they went ahead and just died instead of healing , so now i am solo totally. I am not a happy dog I had a friend that was on my friends list, that did an alt f4 on me that time, guess what he isnt on my list any more, his name was sherriff crinklecrumb or something like that, i wont help him with diddily and more.
Let me set a few things straight,
1. i have done VP now with 4 from start to finish, no it isnt easy but we did it,
2. i do not even look at levels anymore, if we have 8 then go levels mean squat.
3. I have had a level 40 in a vp and he lived and still had 33 lp left and no one healed him.
4. I have done vp over 20 times now and all groups are different but be nice to each other
5. also if someone is going to hit a cog that is level 12 with a cake he will need help dont everyone go on different cogs
6. if cogs are lured then team up on the cogs, 2 on each cog dont all go on different cogs
7. also when you see someone useing drop , then stun the cog, sheesh dont all go on different cogs
8. have someone in the back of vp and all of the rest in front, you do not need more than one in the back(it slows push down if you have too many in the back)
ok i am done sorry for ranting, but this deal with people hopping off and alt f4ing when you can win with 4 really bugs me.

it can get annyoing.. if it ever happens to me, i always alt f4 inside the elevator so i dont lose pieces, cause its a big risk for me.. sorry if anyone doesnt like that. but if im trapped on an elevator with less than 6, im gone.
and, if i see someone get on, then off the elevator, i will keep my mouse on the jump off button. just incase people try to jump, i want to not get caught.. yes some others will get trapped, but if 4 people jump off trying to ditch me, i will jump off aswell so i DONT get ditched..and a majority of the time others will jump with me

heh if you wont do vp with less than 6 or you see only 6 on the elevator, you must not be very sure of your skills, you dump on me and i will always tell people because those that dump are sorta scum like

if there are only 3 on the elevator then of course thats a different story, you can not win unless someone has one pile of sos cards

Lol well said, but I did lose pieces of the suit when I alt-f4 during the ride on the elevator (I think it's just me, but alt-f4 NEVER works on me no matter what 0.o)

& someone would only attack in a different direction if they just came back from something like putting out the trash (inappropriate, but might be possible), their computer froze for a little while or everyone chose their move at the same time, not waitin to see other's moves

Ah well I'm sure all of us are smarter than that ^^

How do you know that they all alt f4'ed on you? I have gotten disco'd just before the VP goes off the edge. It maybe that they were just disco'd.

After reading this thread I'm going to add my 2c ..
7 times now I've gone in VP. Bud my son even more
I have made it to various stages of the fight... Last night was the topping on the cake.... We were down to 3 and doing really great He was ready to roll off the platfrorm and I froze up again..I didn't freeze ,I was disconnected from TT and that has happened to me every time. So close and then to get bumped off.
Yes it it very disappointing and I can say for sure what happens because my son is playing (35 YRS old) across the room from me on his computer and it has happened to both of us at the same time. Not always together but every time in the VP......So I will never accuse anyone of jumping out of the fight since I can see 2 different computers and know what is happening over here. Because if one crashes I go look at the other screen and can see the fight going on.'Yes I have seen toons jump off of elevater adn that isn't nice.I feel that if you get in then at least give your best to the fight. Cayse guess what???? It's only beans......... Just keep on trying. It makes it all the more exciting.must say it does get the heartbeat going faster...
Ok well done with my part and I do hope that I didn't affend anyone. I do not mean to do that ... I just felt like talking before I go after that VP again

I won't go into a VP battle without at least 7, but preferably 8.
However, I'd never run if there was under six (if people get disconnected etc after we go up) especially if it's an experienced group.

We've gone in with 8 and had 3 disconnect during the first cog battle and go on to beat the VP with 5.

Another time there were 7 that made it to the Skeleton round, the 3 on the other side didn't make it, leaving just 4 of us to fight the VP. One froze about half way, another went sad with about ten seconds to go and two of us won.

I've also won other times with only 2-4 players left at the end.

So I'd never think about running in a VP battle, I'm there until the end.

Be loyal, if you find good players, stick with them, even if it means helping them in the factory after you've finished getting your parts

I usally go in only when there's 8, but 8 isn't too hard to get. Find a good district and be patient. I NEVER get disconnected on Toontown, and it only froze once Lucky me. I'm gonna fight the vp again after dinner tonight, and if I win, I'll be a lvl 4 Cold Caller. I really hope I make it

I will not go in unless there are 8 toons. (I learned my lesson the first day CogHQ opened when we went with 4 LOL!). In fact, the last time I went in with 8, one toon got disco'd immediately on my side, then another got disco'd as we started against the Skeleton cogs leaving just me and Sir Spiffy (I think that was his name) to fend for ourselves. With good teamwork, we both made it to the pie throwing against the VP. In the end, I and 3 other toons went on to win the battle.

So, don't give up. As someone else said earlier, you are gonna lose suit pieces anyway and the only other difference is losing your gags. What the heck, its only jelly beans! Odds are, you have less than 40 gags left anyway.

I couldn't agree more! The only point I had to make was that sometimes when I go to battle the vp, I get bumped off the system while the vp is trashing your cog suit. I've been booted more times than I care to admit, so I hope noone thinks I'm pressing alt f4.
In the end though, it doesn't take very many people to kill the vp if a couple are doing the right things.
I've got you on my friends list now, but if you want to sete up sf... drop me a pm for a code.

I've gone in for my promotion twice now and been hit by the disconnect/freeze bug. I hope the latest release fixes this so folks don't have to think that we're chickening out all the time. It stinks when we lose toons and it stinks when I'm one of them.

NOPE...I got disconnected when Senior VP blew up our costumes...I guess I'll go run circles through the warehouse to get my lost pieces now...

I was getting disconnected so much I didn't even want to be in a building with any toons that weren't a high level. That way I wouldn't feel bad about having to leave them. If you have 4 experienced toons they can make it though vp.
However I guess I fixed my problem with disconnect, 'cause it sure wasn't Disney.
