But do they know that you're a good player? I personally think the V.P is hard enough and I wouldn't want to endanger my chances of not making it when I go in. It's not good to use stinky phrases, but if someone tells you it's to risky for you then I don't think that's to rude or anything.
We did beat the V.P once with only 6 toons, so I'm sure that if a 51 laffer (like you) had come along, we would've done just as well. But if you're trying to go to the V.P elevator and they don't want you to, I understand why ![]() (And I wrote all of that assuming this was for the V.P battle)

A low laffer may make it through relatively unscathed through the first two line-ups of cogs & skeletons, but once you're out fighting the VP it's kind of an offensive (rather than defensive) situation. You can't lure the VP, you can't blow him up using gags. It's just throwing pies. So say you miss two jumps, you're down by almost half your laff points. Do I continually take the time to keep on tooning you up over & over or do I continue to fight the VP & hope you keep on dodging the VP's attacks? It takes a united effort on the part of all the toons there to throw pies into the undercarriage & then everyone must hurry & fling the pies to push him back. So taking care of a low-laffer everytime he/she gets hit may not be their first & foremost priority when trying to win. Also, when someone tells me I stink, I'm not necessarily in the mood to help that person afterward either. Why not boost your laff points instead? That way you don't have to keep asking someone to toon you over & over. You'll be able to take at least 5-7+ hits & still be relatively ok. Also, I don't really think everyone WANTS you to die in the game, they just don't have time to toon you up every 5 minutes when you get hit (and, might I add, them getting hit in the process sometimes). I'm sorry it happened to you, but it's something to take into consideration when you're going into the VP battle with higher laffers. Last edited by Bunny Summers; 12-28-2003 at 02:57 AM. |

Fantastic programmers and artists
I love all the new things the programmers and artists have designed for us. Especially the way our toons can jump over walls now and push the crates.
The conveyor belt and rotating gears above the lava pit are pretty exciting! So are the light goons, and the big stompers in the hallway. In fact, the whole trip through the Cog HQ had my knees shaking. I wouldn't have gone in there if I hadn't been led through by my granddaughter, Pancake Mizzenfussen (56 Laffs). I have 62 Laffs, birthday cakes, storm clouds, and elephant trunks, but it helps tremendously if you have really high laffers with you. (If you all use sound gags, it's a blast, so to speak.) One time I got lost in the Lookout above the warehouse, and a very nice high laffer (Cool Spunky Hucklemonkey) came back and showed me how to get back to the group. We all went on to get our cog disguise parts with no problems after that. I've been through Cog HQ four times and have four parts of my disguise now. Look out Sellbots!!! Here I come.... Good job Toons. Good job programmers and artists!

In the factory, I'd go with anyone. I even went in there with a 17 laffer. He didn't make it out though
. We tried keeping him alive but he got zapped by the goons. What Sheriff was talking about was the fight with the VP, Granny, which is a lot harder!!! I don't think I'd like to risk going in there with anyone less than 70 laffs personally. Maybe one of these days when I get more experienced at defeating the VP. But for right now, I want all of the "top dogs" in there fighting with me. |

IMO if you think, or in fact the low laffers are good enough to get through the first two waves of cogs, they sure as heck are good enough to battle vp. I've won a few battles without losing more than 20 LP's. I have even beaten him with one other friend. We drove him back all of the way from the cage. It is all about timing and strategy. One of two things is going to happen if these low laffers keep going into the elevator. 1. They are going to find a technique that works. or 2. They are going to get frustrated after consistently losing and quit. I don't know about you, but after spending a considerable amount of time getting my disguise pieces and merits, I'm not real happy about losing them over and over. My worry is more about the cog waves. Once you get to the second wave you have level 12 cogs coming at you constantly. When they are taking 20 lp's a pop it doesn't take long to wear a low LPer down. And either they are going to get sad, or it will use valuable turns from other toons to tune them up. Bottom line is there isn't much you can do if you have a low laffer wanting to get in the elevator. you can choose to take your chances, or find another elevator.
