What is your favorite toon modification for cog HQ?

I started as tranparent... that was fine nothing wrong, can see the slot pretty good past my head, tried big toon, but while you are easy to tune up you cant see the box if you are lobbin... small toon is really hard to tune up... but the angle might be better for hitting the box from close in! I current have invisable toon... I am fairly easy for people to tune up if I need it... and I can see the box, no head in the way...

oh yea, also had big legs, but that wasnt great for me... it made me really tall, but my view was obscured from the top of the ramp like with big toon.

What is the best (your favorite) modification, and why?

It's gotta be BIG HEAD! ..everyone comments that they like my look!
It's also no real drama to handle in the VP battle.. i can see pretty well.
(using chase view, but i always do that)

Also while i think about it,..

*TIP*: tooning up SmallToons is EASY!!
Stand below them on the upper, steeper ramp & aim up the hill at them.
If means u have to listen for the VP jumps, but that easy too.

Small Toon

MY opinion only here, cuz I know its difficult to get a toon up as small toon. But if you have a good team and are a decent VP player you shouldnt need a toon up.

Small toon can hit the door on the VP with greater ease, guess its the angle.

Yeah that was sorta my thinkin on it too.. I like being invisable, but I think I might pick up a small toon task later today...

Keke...at some point you'll lose some laff points so some people would come & toon you up

Ya pplz if you have small toon make sure you're on flat ground if you want to be tooned up because I spent the WHOLE VP battle trying to toonup a toon with small toon

& all I can tell you is when I went in front of them on the slope they moved away because they couldn't reach the VP, & when I went beside them or behind them, the pies flew right over their heads!

Oh well, if a modification you use might have a disadvantage (like the ones said earlier) find a way to solve it before going to the battle & obviously do what's best ^^

Ya...want a toonup? choose big toon...

1. People can see you (maybe that's not that important but at least people would click on you to see if you need a toonup or not)

2. No one will run around you trying figure out which way is easiest to toon you up-I don't exactly mean small toon here, I mean shorties like me

-EDIT-
Do you think that's works for big head as well?

Okay, I have yet to go in and fight the VP although I have my suit. The one time I did go (because one very nice toon friend of mine encouraged me to go), my computer froze as we got off the elevator and started walking toward the VP. I never got any farther and have no idea what to do.

Am I understanding correctly that the pies hurt the VP but help toon up the toons??

I really would like to try it once, but I'm kind of nervous, and I would hate to hinder the fight for anyone, but I'll never learn if I don't try.

How do you all feel about a rookie going in with you? Can you tell? Is it hard to figure out what to do if you've never been?

If u have laff below about 85, u may have some trouble finding helpers. (ask friends to ask friends)

NO,.. just follow the crowd, & pray for no lag or lockups.

Thanks, Stumpy, for the reply. (What does NP stand for, though?)

Well, then, I will continue on my current tasks which will give me 9 more laff points!!

You can tell pretty easily if a person has won before as they are walking to the elevator... the level of thier cog suit gives it away... that said, everyone was new once... ok, the freeze.. I had that happen every time... I turned off my sound and music, and I get through the battle now. As to what to do, JUMP... just jump whe the VP does and you will be ok... it might also help if you throw a pie or two...

My crash problem has been with the music. It' something related to the sound card and Disney's ****py MIDI programming. I fail in the same way on two computers with the same sound card, but a third computer with a different kind of sound card doesn't crash at all.

If worse comes to worst, I'm going to ship my computer to Disney and let them figure it out. The sound card is an Avante/RealTek AC'97 audio for VIA card. Translation: Low-bidder **** board used by Compaq and HP so they can say the computer does multi-media.

I have heard of crashes happening with other people, specifically with people who have music turned on. If you get a crash (not a lock up), PLEASE make sure you send a bug report to Disney. I got a message from the lead developer stating I was having some sort of hardware failure, but it happens with two different computers -- the only common factor is the sound card. Disney said they would "get back to me" after they think about it for a while or something.

that is the common onboard sound card, I think the MIDI issue is more with OS though... what operating system are you using?
