VP Battle Freezes... supplied remedy etc..

I read on the home page in one of the news articles that Dsney said turn off your sound and music.... I have one computer that freezes, and another that doesnt... I am going to try that and see if it will work till completion.. I will post any findings.. I feel that if I do make it through on this computer, it can be considered somewhat conclusive, as this computer has not yet made it through the entire VP battle after over 12 tries.

I would like to know if anyone else has tried this solution and if they have, if they have had success....

Here is the reason I feel it might work. A while back they had a bug that has since been fixed, where the midis made certain computers get stuck at the 'grey screen'. When this happened, you could move your mouse pointer around, but the rest of the computer was nonresponsive, including Alt-F4.... when I freeze in a VP battle, I have a simular thing... not grey, but the screen does not move, and the computer is nonresponcive, except for the mouse being able to move around... I realize that logically this is a very loose link, but I will try and let you know how it works out for me.

After another 4 victories today I will sleep, but I wanted to let you know that turning the sound off will eliminate the "freezes".... atleast the ones in the final battle. It will not, I understand, fix the other "crashes".... but it fixed that one... This computer didnt make it through any, with 12 losses, then I did that and it went through 4 fine tonite... just to let ya know.. if you have troubles, turn off your sound effects and music!

I have finally made it through 3 VP battles in a row without a disco (freeze). It has also helped a couple of friends I know not disco again. However, we still have had 1 or 2 toons per battle disco. So I do not think the sound off is a catch all fix for everyone.

Pinks swears to me its sticking toontown stickers on the monitor that keeps you from Discoing. See you just thought they sent you those stickers for your school locker.
