Question about pies and caged toon

This has probably been already discussed somewhere, but I don't know where. And maybe it's even in a FAQ or someplace.

But: when the caged toon tells you to jump up to get pies, is this an unlimited supply? Or do you have to keep going back for more pies during the last battle?

LCF, who has only faced the VP once so far and finds it to be chaotic, confusing, and all that and more

currently it is an unlimited number of pies (with one jump).... I understand that on test it started out as 20 pies at the time... that would be much more difficult!!
