I successfully soloed the CJ from start to finish! The Story Ever since King Ricky and I won a 2-man CJ awhile ago, I have been working hard on my law suit preparing for what most call the impossible. I have been too distracted with fishing and pigs. Finally after catching my 70th and deciding to delete my pig, I focused on the CJ solo. I knew I could do it. Ricky and I had a challenge with the 2-man CJ, we even won it twice, but law has been out for 11 months now so it was time to take it to the next step. A 2-man CJ is harder then a CFO or VP solo. Now a CJ solo is what I call a challenge. Finding the 9th Cog Well to start off I had to find out what level suit would give me 9 cogs. One less cog would mean no bonus and one more cog would make it harder. To find out when I get the 9th cog I tested Big Wig, Big Wig 19, and finally Big Wig 29. Thanks to Beautifully Broken for testing the Big Wig 19 solo and telling me that it was still only 8 cogs. I think I practiced about 5 times. The first time I was alone at BW29 I seated 3 toons and managed to get the scale half way down. I was below 25 laff and I didn't want to waste unites for a practice run so I ran. Going again with Ricky, Anita, and Jenny, I seated the same. I could win with 3 but it would have taken longer. I just alted out and went again with them except it was with Super Max Supershadow this time instead of Jenny. Again, I only seated 3. I logged out then decided to solo from start to finish. The Battle The battle went smoothly but cost a lot of unites TU’s. I had no maxed unites and a few of the big ones. I had to use lots of my small ones. I used all my 7’s for the first half of every group of 8s-12s. Then the cogs from the other side started coming so I used some cards but a couple missed. The second wave started after 20 minutes and ended after about 50 minutes. Units and SoS cards for Cogs used: 3 80s TU 9 40s TU 12 20s TU 4 Gag-Up Alls 5 Bessie’s 2 Franz’s 1 Clara 2 Moe Zarts 3 Flippy The Scale On my practice run, I had no hope at first. The scale was really high since I only seated 3 toons. My original plan was to shoot as far as possible to save time from running close but I couldn’t reach it so I had to get close. I tried for a minute but the scale went up. This is where I was like, I can’t do this, I needed to seat more toons if I wanted to win but then I had this feeling that said maybe I can and so I tried for another few minutes. The scale slowly went down. I know now I shouldn't give up that early. When you start the scale goes up a notch but then it slowly goes down. I took it down half way but had 23 laff so I logged out. Now at my solo, I learned a new thing about cannon’s. They only give you 3 – One on the left, middle, and right. You can choose which one you want to shoot from so I picked the one in the middle. First few practice runs I didn't know this I just ran straight to the one I was standing next to. I waited until 20 seconds so the cogs won’t have enough time to retake their seats. I seated 4 and recieved a bonus weight of 3. When I started the scale battle I was shooting halfway in between. When it got lower I either had a choice to go further back or closer in. If I went further back, I miss my first shot because I need to find my aim. And the evidence thrown from the cogs was a long line. I jumped the first one but the other one at the end gets me sometimes. If I shot close, I would waste a few seconds running their and back. The advantage was I always hit the scale and the cogs evidence was all in one big pile. It was easier to avoid. So I did the close up strategy most of the time. Dogging the CJ jumps, the evidence, jumping over gavels to save time, and always hitting the scale when I throw also got better. I was really good at avoiding all obstacles, it was getting easier to see them come. I also knew the timing so they were predictable. Units used: 1 Maxxed TU How’s it possible? Okay, this is how its possible for one toon to put more evidence in his scale then 9 cogs. I actually did a lot of observing. I figured out that the cogs evidence weight is 2. I’ll explain how I got this number in a second. First, the cogs threw 3-6 evidence into their scale all the time and about 5 when I returned from refilling mine. When I was scaling they threw 3-6 each time but mostly 5. Half was flying my way which was no problem at all since I dogged 99% of them. I seated 4 toons which gives me a weight bonus of 1+3. The cogs weight is 2. I could throw exactly 6 of mine into my own pan every time it was their turn to throw. That’s 24 weights for my scale (4 weight x 6 throws) and about 12-14 for theirs (2 weight x 6-7 throws) I had 26 evidence which means I shoot for 4 turns (each turn is when the cogs throw again). So I get 40-48 extra into my scale and they get 26 extra when I'm running for evidence. You can see the difference. Thats how the scale went down slowly. The CJ jumps didn’t affect me at all. He and the evidence would time the same. That means I only had to jump once to avoid the CJ jumps and the evidence. I liked that! I never stunned a cog. There were 3 cannons to choose from and I seated 4 toons. Now I soloed the CJ on my 129 toon-upless at BW 50 with no Presentation and Geyser. Some things changed. Cannons For my first solo, I had 3 cannons to choose from, but why did I have 2 in this one? Blinky Trickyspinner II was at level 29 when he had 3 cannons but since I maxed him, I tried a practice run at level 50, and I only had a choice of one cannon. Now I try the same thing on BT who is 129 also and I have 2 cannons on the SIDES not one in the middle? Did my gags affect the number of cannons? Or was it my cog summon's count? Either way, it should be only one cannon. So if my gags affected the amount of cannon's, they could possibly affect other things as well. 1 person level 50 - 1 cannon 1 person level 29 - 3 cannons 1 person level 50, unmaxed gags - 2 cannons on the SIDES 2 persons level 50's - 3 cannons I was excited to recieve 5 bonus weight from seating 5 Shopekeeper Toons. I used the same stragety from the left side doing the 2 step. Once the hight was low, I would run from the front, shoot a couple, then once the cogs were about to hit me, I ran close to the scale to finish my remaning evidence. Scale time was about the same as my last solo (25 minutes) even though I had an extra cog cause I had 5 weight bonus. Avoiding Evidence You start with 22 evidence at level 50. Run to the left side but not half way to the scale. Shoot 6 evidence or until the cogs are ready to hit you. Then take 2 steps to the left and aim at the scale. Repeat until your out. You can also jump while turning left which is easier. Choosing the Middle Cannon Wait unti'll 26 seconds before shooting. Aim your cannon on the bottom left cog. If you know you'll miss the first shot, start at 30. This is how I seated 5 toons and just a half a second before a 6th toon. But the point is, the cogs can't retake your seat in 26 seconds but can in 30. So the magic number for them to retake is 27-29 seconds. After you make your first shot, move the arrow key to the right. DON'T adjust the height. The Jury Stand moves slowly backwards so its like adusting it for you. When you get to the 4th cog, you'll have to adjust the height a little bit higher. Stunning the 10th Cog The 10th cog is the most distraction cog since his evidence dosn't always time with the others and his way out of your view range. If you really can't avoid all the evidence that fly at you, you can stun the 10th cog and shoot from far range ONLY when the scale is half way down. Gigantic Gavels How many of you do this? I jump over the handles of the gravels to save time and avoid being a standing target waiting for the handle to lift. Its acually hard. I can't make it everytime but if you mess up, its only 2 hit damage. Cogs Speed On CcE's practice run, he mentioned that the cogs kept throwing the evidence faster and faster. If this was true, you'd have to solo the CJ fast. After going on a few 2-man practice runs, we observed and figured out that the cogs have a speed pattern. Heres how it goes: They start by throwing they're first evidence in 6 seconds. Then they throw again in 5 then 4..3..and finally they refill in ONLY 2 seconds! At 2 seconds this is when the CJ jumps and resets the pattern. The cogs throw from 6 seconds again. Pretty intresting. Cog Round You can beat half the cogs with only level 7 gags if you have them all. You'll need to use sos cards for the next half wave. They changed this a while ago but if you still don't know, drop sos cards don't hit lured cogs anymore. Wow, I wasn't to sure if it was possible after my practice solo attempt, but I guess all you need to do is get 4 toons on the jury, and do alot of research. Congrats James!!! Maybe I'll try it again someday now that its proven to be possible.
