Ha it would have helped if I read the title...
Just jump when the vp jumps. Don't go in front up ppl and ask for toon-ups either, that will probably make them mad. And you could distract yourself and get jumped by the vp o.o. I don't know what to tell you, I can't make someone toon you up. But good luck with future vps. |

More often than not, it's a useless toon up, meaning that they would have survived without it, but it's better to try to save them than to risk it. I'll most likely be going on at least 2 different runs today (hopefully 3, then I'll have maxed my black cat), so if you want to try to VP with my friends and me, we rarely lose players (except possibly ubers from a bad cog/skele round), let alone losing the VP run. If so, just PM me.

Here are MY stragities:
1.If you go to a V.P.,Make sure that at least one 100 laffer is there and goes with you. 2.NEVER don't go with a 49 laferr or below, because at the pie part they don not give you Laff Points. Well your problem has happened with me too. P.S. Happy V.P.ing!

1. Actually, a 100 laffer is not your ticket to a win. Of course you want to make sure your teammates have enough muscle to handle the VP, but don't assume you need 100+ laffers in order to win. That person at best will not appreciate carrying others through the battle and at worst could be a griefer only looking to watch his/her teammates die for his/her own personal satisfaction. 2. Some low laffers are actually skilled players on small toons trying to add some excitement to the game. You can cheat yourself out of a good player (myself included) if you always go by laff. Check a low toon's gags. If they are maxxed or very high, you're probably dealing with high laffer in a low laff disguise. |

On the original subject. I would try to figure out why your loosing laff in VP. If you know where to stand and how to react the the VP’s actions you should be able to get through a VP with only loosing a few laff points. |

I think it takes considerable skill to stun or maybe it's aiming *shrug* - unless you're just talented like that Anyway, yeah, if you need a TU let the stunners keep stunning and come stand in front of a thrower - might be me - and if it is me I'll be happy to pummel you with pies until you're out of danger - just make sure that you take over for me as far as hitting the VP goes. ![]() Quote:
![]() And definitely, make sure you keep your ears open for the jumping sound (especially if you find yourself in a position where you can't see him) - you should jump before he hits the ground - since the jump takes the most laff from you, make sure you can easily hit that ctrl key. When he sprays gears, I tend to move back up the ramp (sometimes jumping at the same time) while still throwing pies (I tend to throw long/high at this point and I'm repeatedly hitting the Insert key so I'm nearly always throwing a pie). As soon as he's stunned, I run up as close as I can and just keep pelting him and when he isn't dizzy anymore, I back up to a safe distance to avoid the gears/oil sprays while still throwing pies. Wow, that was a mouthful and I'm sure I've repeated some people (sorry about that if I did). I'm not an expert, but I hope some of that info helps. |

Knowing that some 'low laffers' or even some 'low suits' may actually be decent players, I have no problem with boarding with anyone who happens to go along. If that group happens to show that they're too inexperienced for us to win, then right after the cog round, I'll tell them to run, and lets go back to the playground. Reason being that I don't want to watch them all go sad one by one, and if they can't make it to the pie round (or if they can but barely have laff), then it'll be a big loss to the team. My hope is always that if we get inexperienced player on the VP, it's only 1 or 2 of them, so they can gain that experience and learn some tricks. Then after they've gone a few times, they'll be better players and someday may be able to show others through as they were shown. Being that I maxed BP last night with 3 CC's on the run who turned out to be excellent players, I can certainly vouch for the fact that suit level (and even laff) don't make much difference. On the original topic though, it's all about teamwork, including trying to TU other players. An sf and I did that recently. It was a friend of theirs, and I had them on my screen so I could monitor the laff. They got rather low so I went to toon them. After I got their points up some, I went back to stunning the back end. My sf did the same thing, tooning up to keep their friend from going sad. We all danced at the end, thankfully.
