Oh boy, never had this happen before

I entered a VP run with randoms, as usual. I'm Hollywood 40, so I've been on lots of runs.

I got on with another Hollywood, a few mid-level players and some relatively new ones.

I was on the side with the other Hollywood to fight the cogs. I didn't make my best choices with a couple of gags, mostly because I made the choice at the last minute, as did someone else. But no big deal. Being maxed on all but trap, including level seven gags, I wasn't at all concerned.

Then one low laff toon went sad. I said, "We can do this" and the other Holly (a bear) said "No problem". But I noticed him starting to make some rude comments. I don't know who they were directed at. Then he kept saying, "Lets find other toons", and I assumed he was just dissing some of us.

After beating the cogs, he and three others went up after the VP. After waiting around for a while, all of the sudden I saw them LEAVING! I was thinking, OH NO, but before I could "run" I found myself facing the skelecog.

So of course I lost, and along with it, I lost FIVE level seven gags. I wouldn't have risked it on a random run with those prizes, except that I felt sure we could win. I've never experienced being abandoned like that.

So that's when I start practicing my Zen-like trance: It's just a game, It's just a game, It's just a game.............

what stinks is u lose all your lvl 7 gags and i thought you not allowed to leave.

You are right, you're not. I had to turn off my computer to get out of there.

there is 1 way to leave and not lose anything, you need to lose your internet connection. If you have a cable modem just unplug the cat5 cable or turn the modem off. TT senses that you lost signal and nicely removes you without losing any gags or even laff, that is if your not getting hit just b4 you lose connection. Goodluck and have fun.

Man that does stink, I have also found myself repeating to myself "its just a game" before as well....

there is another way

open your schicker book (or whatever it is) then go to a playground

OR

TP to someone in what district (like nutty river) then say yes or when they the same district, you should tp to them immeditely

That only workes between the two battles, they were in the second battle.

Alternate method for not losing gags and going sad, but only tested once and it worked. Requires 2 PC's:

Open the same account on the second PC and log on to that account. You will get a message on the PC you were playing that your connection was lost because someone else has signed onto your account. When you click on that toon on the second PC the toon should not be sad ------hopefully.

Thanks for the ideas! So it boils down to loosing my connection. I can do that.

I'll turn off my modem. I can also experiment by just unplugging the phone connection from the wall by my computer.

VERY good to know, now that we have the level seven gags. I still want to be able to do VP's with cold callers I don't know and not worry about loosing everything I worked for if things don't go well.

Unfortunately, that's the reason why I'm a little more paticular who I go with in the VP or the CFO for that matter. I had to use 3 tu unites 2 weeks ago to keep my self alive in a vp where everyone was doing there own thing, like using small sound on lured cogs or 1 ton weight on lvl 11 cogs, etc. Everyone went sad but me and this black cat "Taboo." Thank goodness we worked well together stunning and pushing the vp off the ledge. So, ya, I hear what your saying, "Mom of Vince," it's frustrating loosing those gags.
