How many cogs total in CFO?

Howdy!

Another question for the toontown guru's out there

I'm wondering how many cogs total there are in a CFO. I am practicing soloing the CFO.

I'm not using any unites or SOS cards until I think I'm doing fairly well as I don't have many at all.

Anyhow, I would like to keep track of how far I'm getting on the strategies and gag selections I'm using.

Also, does anyone know if the amount of times you scratch and feed a doodle before you enter a battle correlates to the doodles usefulness as far as longevity in not getting tired?

Thanks ya'll! You guys are great!

When you solo, you will have to kill both sides of the cogs and a total of about 80-90 cogs. First read a guide about level 7 gags and there damage. They tell you what they kill lured and unlured. This saves you a lot of sos cards.

Your doodle should be excited or affectional before enter the boss. It does matter many times you scrach it but 3 times will do I haven't found a good time to use it because you need to have all small levels in order to waste some turns. Like in the VP, after the cog round, you fill your laff up on the last cog before the skele-round.

Good Luck!

Man, you make such hard math.
There is usually 68 cogs in CFOs but it can be from 60-75 cogs in the CFOs not 80-90, that's insane!
Good luck on soloing

I never counted mine, it was hard. I guess other people overexagarated when they said they did 80-90

I had 72 cogs in my solo. Also, I only had one good SOS card when I went in, which was a Bessie. I tried to use it on 3 lured and one unlured and it missed the lure cogs. So my sos was virtually wasted. Other than that i called Professor Pete twice. The rest of the battle was done with Unites. I used the Presentation when i was down to 20 laff at one point and doddled 7 times, then used the remaining 8 turns to line up a line of 11s so I could wedding cake.

In most CFOs (but certainly not all) the cogs come in waves of similar levels, so you can get a pretty good idea of what's coming next and can plan accordingly.

Also, the other best advice I can give for a solo that helped me is to know the max damage caused by each cog. The first time I tried to solo i got beat because I gambled and did not know how much damage a level 8 could do to me. I let it hit hit me thinking i would MAX TU Unite between hits and he hit me for 1 more damage than i had; sending me back to the PG. If you're going to use a MAX Unite, you should do it when you are at the lowest possible laff without going sad. I got in the habit of choosing my gag and quickly moving my mouse to the TU Unite selection so I could quickly call it between hits (especially if I was using lure).

Finally, and this comes from another bad solo attempt, be careful of your unites because they can often fill you up with gags that are useless to you. I tried to use Gag-up all or Professor Petes because they would restock my strongest gags first. I once used a gag up lure and it gave me 6 5-dollar bills that I couldn't get rid of, but were taking space in my gag bag away from my other strong gags. In order to account for this, I only used a specific gag-up when I only used that gag with lure. For example, I lured 2 11s and 2 10s, then used my Organic cake on each of the 11s and one of the 10s. Small were coming out so I just took that damage and kept caking the big cogs. After using 3 cakes in a row, I used a gag-up throw, which only gave me 4 more gags: 3 cakes and 1 cream-pie.

I think the highest i ever had was probably 43 cogs on 1 side. The others probably had 42.

Thats a total of 85 cogs.

Don't get me wrong, CFO has the most cogs.

I think the actual numbers of cogs is the same for all CFOs. What determines how many you defeat is how fast one side goes through them compared to the other. I did a 3 man last night on my Uber and was left on one side by myself. Not wanting to go after all of the cogs, I used presentation to hold them for 15 rounds while the other sidetook out as many as they could. As they became unlured I had to start beating some of them. All told, I beat 16 cogs total, while the other two toons beat 57 (one of them was the extra on my side.

When you think about it, it makes sense. Do you ever notice how the two sides seem to finish at exactly the same time. Certainly one side is often faster throguh the cogs than the other for various reasons (missed gags, soundless, bad teamwork, etc...). watch next time you go in. The toons on one side will often have killed more cogs than the toons on the other side, yet both sides finished at the same time. The total should be about 72 cogs.

Finally, and i have just begun to notice this more, the types of cogs you get differ dramatically from CFO to CFO. Unlike the CJ, which has basically the same lineups of cogs throughout.

As soon as one side finishes there will be no more cogs for the other side. So one side could do 30 cogs and the other only 15. I think anyway. But even if you finish first then the other side will get no more cogs. I know why thoe (i think anyway). If one side finishes and the other side is really slow then they couldnt do anpther 10 -15 cogs while the other finished side waits for them. It would just be silly.

I hope that made sence. last CFO i did i got only 33 cogs. How on earth can you solo 60 cogs or 70 cogs? well obviously you can but WOW.
