Wow, do you really have a lot of problems getting in? I would think that with maxed sound people would have no problem going with you.
I'm guessing that people assume you're inexperienced (with mints, anyway) because of your laff. The generally accepted strategy in the bullion is single fogs for every set of cogs except the level 11 skeles and the supervisor. A lot of inexperienced toons don't get that and double fog every round, which ruins the strategy of the group. Once you get your laff up a little I would be surprised if people still refuse to go with you. |

A few laugh points ago, I was being whispered to to do a bullion by higher toons. Then my tasks had me in the dollar and I'm at the bullion again. I'm not having that many problems (I just made 90 tonight) getting people to go in. My problems are tons of people hanging out and many lower toons hanging out and no one wanting to go in with them.

In the 2 years I've been playing TT, I don't think I've ever told anyone "I think this is too risky for you". You should NEVER judge a book by it's cover. I have done countless runs in mints, factories, VPs etc with low laff toons with good gags. More often than not it turns out that they are building a second or third toon and they have more experience and "game smarts" than the higher laff toons who are ditching them! If a high laffer condemns you because of your laff then it's most likely because they're on some kind of power trip with their first high laff toon and they assume that anyone with less laff than they have is a liability.
It does seem that there is more "prejudging" going on out there lately but don't let a string of rookie high laffers discourage you. Hang in there because there are a lot of high laffers who know better and would be happy to run with you. Count me in! Last edited by Cogzilla; 01-04-2007 at 04:28 PM. |

Thats really a shame.
I think that some toons just aren't confident enough in their playing abilities. I've taken a 41 laffer through a bull mint. Not that I make that a habit, but I'm sure enough of myself as a player to not always need high laffs with me. Your gags are great...so is your laff. I wouldn't hesitate to take you with me. |

Bullion Mint
I think you have high enough gags to do a Bullion Mint, for that matter, high enough to do a 'D' office in LAW HQ. I believe that high toons just look at you laff number and not your gags. It's a shame. My suggestion would be to find a group of friends that you can run mints with at a common time and you will not have this problem anymore.
I would also like to remind you that when you are a high toon, that you try to treat a smaller toon the same way that you now want to be treated. Good Luck, I would go with you anytime. |

Thats a really good point...and I want to second it. It's a shame when higher laff toons forget what it was like to be lower in laff. And, in turn do the same sorry behavior that was done to them. You earn respect...it's not given to you. |
