Freezing in the CJ... I Guess it's the Winter Temperatures!!!

Hey, all toons! I just had my first successful CJ victory at 109 laff this morning... one problem, though. I kept freezing in the final scale battle. Toontown would lock up and stay that way for several minutes at a time, and I could type SF messages and hear the music and sound effects but couldn't make my toon move or see what was going on in the battle. I was down at super-low laff at one point, and then my computer froze again. I thought I was going to be one sad Toon, but someone kept Tooning me up every time something happened to me.

I am grateful to the Toons who kept my Toon happy throughout the whole CJ battle when I couldn't dodge the CJ's jumps because my computer froze. Thank you to a great friend named Baron Barney Bumbleburger for showing concern for me whenever I had a free moment to say "I'm stuck" and helping me get back up to full laff. You are awesome!

I am also very sorry and apologize to the Toons who were aggravated because I wasn't doing anything. I am not trying to make any excuses, but I couldn't get to the witness stand to get more evidence without freezing right under a gavel. My only goal at that point was to stay happy (for the most part, at least), so I just stayed by the scale and tried to jump when the CJ did.

We had a successful CJ battle and got Glad Hander summons, but I am very disappointed that my first CJ victory was all because of other people whom I was a burden upon when I lost laff during my frozen times. I only went through one set of evidence and stuck to my sole purpose of trying to stay happy for the rest of the battle. And for those of you who said "That wasn't nice" and "You Stink!", I know you didn't understand that my computer was going nuts, and I'm sorry for looking like someone who is pulled along by other people during battles. Thanks to all who helped me. I couldn't have become a level 2 without you guys! I hope to see you in an unfrozen CJ battle soon.

Your not the only one!

Quick question for you. What did you do before the CJ battle?

Personally, I do a boss battle night every Sunday with my group of SFS, and I have noticed that when I do a lot of mints, factories, DA offices, or boss battles in a row my computer starts to freeze up. Therefore, before a CJ battle I always try and restart TT.

My suggestion to you before your next CJ is to try and restart TT. I mean going all the way back to the login screen and letting it reload. This has always helped me fight the lag that I get from the CJ battle.

We know what your problem is, ducky.. not enough RAM and a slow machine. It could be the same for the OP... what's under the hood?

I have a new computer and more than triple the RAM I need. I think that the idea about restarting TT would help. Thanks! I was defeating buildings before the CJ, I think. I'm not sure, but I think that I was defeating buildings in Donald's Dock. Thanks for the advice!
