What to do with Mooching toons?

i either, kill them off by passing, or not getting in the cog battle

or i beat the forman withought them, but its only for greifers/moochers, and if i get one i do skip the warehouse and fog with a sf

I was playing La Dee Dottie in TTC, emptying out my lower level gags for experience. Two new toons (I'm assuming they were young kids) said they needed to defeat lawbots. We were on Loopy Lane where LB hang out so I decided to help. I say "Follow me." and find a Bloodsucker. The new toons join me along with a 100+. I'm assuming he needs to help new toons, so he's more than welcome at first. We choose our gags, he just stands there. I'm thinking, "Didn't this guy stock up on lower level gags...?" The two new toons beg him to help. No response from HL. Another cog joins the fight, he still just stands there. We kill the first one and a third cog arrives. Then a fourth. The two new toons are practically in tears but the moocher does nothing. At this point I'm praying for an sf to arrive, wishing I could call Shorty, and hoping to high heaven that our gags hit. We take them all down, no thanks to Mr. Mooch.

he is a kid and english is not his native language, I bet in few years he will be fluent in english and type with no mistakes.. you can clearly get his message though:

An idjit who took the Help a New Toon task but has comprehension issues and missed the part about HELP A NEW TOON.

You all should have passed with him - he had as good a chance as anyone to get hit by cogs. They act or leave after one or two of those turns. Feather the others and say no problem and he REALLY gets the hint.

I agree with you all the way. We shouldn't allow them to tag along and get credit for battles that they didn't contribute to.

However, try to keep in mind not to act against them too soon. There's always the possibility that they are lagging and can't choose a gag (happens to me all the time) or they were called away from the computer for something important.

I have no problem letting low laffers come with me. I usually just go with my friend anyway. However...if they just stand back and dont contribute...we usually just glitch away from them.
I wont let a toon go sad if I can help it though. I'd rather just tp out and start again if I'm that frustrated.

Pardon my ignorance but...can anyone tell me what a moocher gains by not helping? What is the point of collecting suit parts and not increase the strength and quantities of your gags in the process by helping in battles? Do they think that they will be able to sit back and mooch in VP too? I don't get it.

Exactly!! I don't get it either. All I seem to do on my new toons is try to get my gags up.
I have known toons in the Vp and Cfo to do nothing. Saying "Sorry I was delayed" every turn. I lag too, but not that bad. Then they stand and jump during the actual boss battle.
Thats not my idea of fun. What enjoyment do you get for having someone do everything for you? You can't possibly appreciate it.

:: I know how that is, no doubt. Instead of completly ditching them in the Mint/Fac/DA, I usually wait til were all walking and check their gags. If they got gags, then I know their just mooching off of us. If you don't outright know there AFK or out of gags, you may have just ditched an innocent toon.

And since you can't always tell whether or not their really afk, I usually wait for about 3 or less minutes to see if there awake. But if the automaticly awaken after the battle, then I leave.

I never get p.o.ed about it though. The best part of it is knowing that even though they hurt you, there also hurting themselfs. Not getting experience for gags in the begining will make them eventually a loner. And if they have maxed gags? They'll soon get an earful during a boss cog fight, when you really have to fight. ::

Well they do this so they can kill toons in the vp or cause shuffle. I've seen this 1 15 laffer with 1 lp and no gags shuffle forever (you all know him. The blue horse who is famous for shuffling forever at the elevator and he is smart so you won't be able to ditch him in the elevator). And no he is not looking for a good group because no matter what he got off at 0 and others know him also so I know what I'm talking about.) When I was new I remember seeing him and we shuffled for like 2 hrs before we could get a group.
