Why do some toons disappear in the elevator?

We'll be in the elevator and one person might of stepped out the last minute so everyones in a frenzy. But then somehow some toons "disappear"
i want to know how they do this, and where do they go?

Sometimes they lose connection with the Toontown Server, or this maybe true I tried it before, If you have like RR or DSL people can unplug their cable connectors from the Modem and they can automacticly lose connection from Toontown and the Internet.

dont forget guys they might use contral alt delete to get their windows task manager or turn off their pc

the reason toons are not there any more is because some toons when its zero they will decide to be mean and hop off. if they can't succesfully do that then the will mix alt and f4 together and they will magically magically log out.

Just curious. Everytime I do Alt + F4 - I lose everything, all my laugh points and all my gags. Is that because I'm not alting out while still in the elevator?? Once I step off the elevator is there anyway to escape w/out losing everything?????

I was on the elevator w/ 7 other toons. By the time the door opened and we walked out, there were only 5 of us. By the time we were in front of the cogs, I was the only one on my side. I did the alt+F4 and I lost everything.

yes if you will altF4 when facing cogs - you will lose all your lp and gags , including lvl 7 gags if you have any. It is as if you went sad.

... that's why I also do not understand why some toons run in the middle of the cog battle (not when it is a discoe - nothing you can do about it) but when toons run - like, for example, when they don't like the way some toons play or think that a group has no chances - you go sad anyways, why not stay and see how it goes.. In all cases when toons ran - rest of us who remained - finished victoriously

yeah good point. whats the point of alt -f4ing during the battle if your scared of going sad if your going to go sad anyways if you alt f4 during cog battle. at least you have a chance if you stay. remember when we did that 3 man vp? i think it originally started out with about 7 or 8 people, then a couple people hopped off, then i hopped back on seeing all you hw 50s, and then one toon alt f4ed in the elevator. and yet we still made it out with no problems whatsoever.

Thanks Guys! I'll keep that in mind. I'll remember next time someone stiffs me and jumps off the elevator. . .to save my butt and alt out.

It's a shame that some toons are only there to watch the "little toons" (cold callers) get stuck on the elevator. After the door closes, some of the toons will laugh. It's a shame more toons can't just help out the new toons.

We were all newbies at one time.

I made a new toon friend yesterday. He only had 40 lp. I helped him most of the day complete his tasks. A very friendly toon. I ended up sending him a popcorn machine and shrug and confused.

I would agree...try to go with the ccg.
Its really a shame when ppl leave. Some of the best times on TT I've had, have been trying a run when I didnt expect to dance. Sometimes I don't make it...but when I do...thats the best. This is a game...I like to enjoy myself and have a little fun.

i agree by turning off modem bcause when i was at pi round at vp they all left but then its all me i turned off the modem incase i lose everything by at f4ing

I just won't alt-F4 out of the elevator unless we literally end up with 2 or 3 toons who got stuck when everyone else jumped out.
I've had some GREAT runs in the vp with 4 or 5 toons - it can be done, and it's a whole lot more fun that doing it by the formula with 8 toons and using safe gag combinations. Sure, you may go sad, but that doesn't hurt anyway...

And, yes, for those who talked about the elevator glitch. Just because you can't see the toon doesn't mean they aren't there. We have an sf with a very laggy computer who frequently appears to vanish from the elevator but then reappears for the battle. I have a great pic of her looking like she's standing on the VP's head when the elevator doors opened.
