=.= That's a bit harsh, eh? I'm a mean person overall, but really.. this is just overreacting.
If they didn't wait for an invasion.. it's not their fault. They probably wanted to get on their lives. If you need like 5000 bucks, maybe a few 20-30 off won't make a HUGE difference. You can correct me when you're at the bullion with 4975 bucks. P.S. this is where you can ask friends TO. COME. WITH. YOU. EH? THEN. THEY'D UNDERSTAND. |

20-30 bucks off? If I was working on that basis I could just get it from buildings. At least two of them could have gotten THEIRS from buildings. There are dozens of districts. The Invasion District *IS* more active *because* toons on there need the double merits/bucks/notices. That's the whole POINT of being in an invasion: double everything. With all the other districts anyone else can go on, the needy deserve "right of way" on there. Anyone who doesn't "get it" hopefully will when they need 8900 themselves and aren't rich enough to run 3 toons simultaneously - and get this type of nonsense or little griefers on their boullion runs.

It's not just the "invasion district", though, it's the "busy district". This is where toons go who have no one to help them because they can find help. You can't tell them to go somewhere else, because in the other districts there is NO HELP. And NO ONE has "Right of way" anywhere in ToonTown!
Some people don't even KNOW about the invasions. Some people assume that if you're in the dollar mint you must not need too many. Yeah, MAYBE they'll get it someday - we were all noobs once, and didn't "get it". Most players don't come to these or other forums and may never know! I just remind myself that I got 2 toons to RB 50 without the help of invasions (well, invasion bonuses started when Quigley was a 40 something. But that was before Law and frequent invasions.). To me, the invasion is a nice bonus, a free gift, so to speak - but often not worth the stress it causes. |

As long as you start to dance while the invasion is still on, yes. It does not have to be invaded the entire time. This is why you will see toons NOT hit the supervisor and say things like "wait" and "I need more cogbucks". Then when an invasion starts they will fight the super (this applies in factories and DA's as well).
Again, the dance MUST have started while the invasion is on. If one starts after you start to dance, no bonus. If it ends RIGHT before the dance starts - no bonus (the team dance - NOT just you). edit -- LOL, no you NEVER get double MERITS in the MINT.....you get double BUCKS though....heehee |

This is a heavily visited district, primarily for everyone else who wants to get their cog-specific tasks done. I could have gotten a thousand bucks during the invasion. A big difference. Thank you I'll be here all month. It's this sort of thing which a lot of people have left Toontown over, and why I might not renew.

Forget the boullion - there are toons in their 50s laff waiting. The big ones are hopping idle. .[/QUOTE] I usually find my group in the bullion, and try to sneek in so the 50 laff type toons don't get in. There's usually atleast one 100+ that shuffles the elavator so I get in pretty easily. U seem to b having bad luck if u can't get in the bullion, and u should always go 2 Nutty River 4 invasions. If you don't than you may have 2 wait more than 15 minutes for an invasion. In that time a toon would be most likely to give up, and destroy the mint superviser. Nutty River you'll only have to wait 1 second- 5 minutes where you shouldn't have to wait for an invasion. I'm sure you'll get those bucks.

I understand your frustration. I am at 8900 bucks myself, and have just about given up trying to do a buillion. Yesterday I did try in the invasion district. I am a113, so I thought that the group I ended up with could handle it, besides myself, there was a 96, acouple of 80s and a 65. Because they were idiots, I died in the first fight!! I don't want to go into what kind of stupid moves they went thru. But you can imagine it takes a lot to kill off a 113. So if you actually made it to fight the supervisor, count your blessings. At least you got SOME bucks. All I got was a lot of grief. ( I don't think they were intentionally griefing me, they were not that consistent.) My second try of the day - There was a 107, 2 80s and a 90.Despite my begging them to work together, they all insisted on working their gags, regardless of whether or not it was getting the job done. It wasn't. So by the 3rd fight, I bailed. I normally don't do that, and I normally do not shuffle at the elavator. But I am getting so tired of this garbage, that I am about to turn into the kind of selfish player that drove me away from open to the test server. I know that my little story has little to do with yours. I am just trying to give you some perspective. It could be worse!!

Somewhere in the Boss Cog forums, there are probably stickies that explain how many bucks each mint yields. Whatever it is....double that if there is an invasion. The maximum amount of bucks a mint will earn is 1516 and that is Buillion floor 9 w invasion. With invasions, large Dollar mints will give up almost a 1000 bucks and Coin mints a little more than 500. See, I figure just like everyone else...I think the max. I don't want to be in there any longer than anyone else.

Actually, just prior to the Dollar run from heck, I was in a Coin run with three really nice toons. Three of us needed 8900 LOL, which goes to show you how fed up enough toons can get.
To be honest, with two or three others, I would be willing to do yea many quick n clean invasion coin runs in lieu of the aggravation. The last Boullion I ran prior to any mint since was last week, and I think with a consistent group of decent toons, I would have gotten it all by now from Coin. Or a series of non-invasion Boullion where no one bothers a set group. Dep, a pity there is no CBG for this lol

Nutty Summit has its share of invasions as well. Anyway you can't designate one district for this and the other for that, no matter how much sense it appears to make.
I feel your pain too - but again, it hasn't been that long that we've had the bonus in the first place. I can't imagine cancelling over it, but then if I was used to the bonus all the time maybe I would feel differently. I do think DM's right and it has turned into an entitlement. I confess I do try for the bonus - but if I don't get it for whatever reason I shrug it off and move on to the next mint. Heck, I've missed it because I or my friends were positive it was on when it was not, or because it ended at the last second before we danced. It's just one of those things, and I guess I choose not to let it bother me that much. |
