1st Vp most frustrating

Well, I just experienced my first VP. 3 friends tried to help me for about 20 minutes, but with all the shuffling, I lost them and went to the factory instead. Had a great run in the factory, and came back to try and get on the elevator for VP again. After about 20 miutes of shuffling, I was so frustrated that I actually had tears in my eyes! Over a dang game! That was too much, I couldn't believe it. I asked more exp. players if they could help me, and as the groups would board an unboard the elevator, I would say bye and good luck, in the hope that they would actually stay put. Well, I finally got in, and lost it in pie mode. I would have rather gone sad in the game in pie mode than in real life in getting on the elevator mode. If this is normal behaviour, I think I may give up on the VP's all together. That was the worst Toon Town experience I have had. I would rather be told I stink because I am not as advanced than go through all that with the getting on and off the elevator. Sad to say, I may be through. It's really too bad because I have met great Toons randomly getting in the factory, but this experience really put me off trying again. I am really dissapointed because I enjoy every other aspect of this game, and will try to not let this experience cloud my thinking towards the game as a whole. My question is, is this normal? And, if so, why?

Shuffling, you say? Dry those tears and run with the CCG! Read the CCG threads in the forum...follow a few simple rules and HAVE FUN! I hope you give 'em a try...I'll give you a wave if I see ya!

here's a link to the main thread:So You Want To Join The CCG!

What you experienced is common, unfortunately. Random toons don't like to go with low suits...it is very frustrating and can ruin the fun quickly. After a few runs with the CCG you will get the hang of jumping when the VP jumps and usually the pie fights are full of experienced pie fighting toons who send the VP straight off the pad very quickly . Good luck and give it another shot.

Hello this is normal behavior for better toons like mr hollywoods to hop off of elevator at last second, it is frustrating, i know but normal. I guess that all the hollys r trying to get every1 else in elevator by thereselfs cause all the hollys want to be go together. Really i dont get y they'd do that. I dont do it and im a Two face, i dunno maybe my mind will change when im a hollywood. I feel your pain of being ditched, but im letting u know its NORMAL!

Hi this is normal so dont feel like this is only happening to u. Cause its happened to all of us. Better toons dont always want to go with toons that arent as good as them, so what they do is hop off at the last second to get rid of you. Trust me its normal and i know frustrating. But its happened to all of us. Once your a better cog in vp then ppl wont ditch u as much.

Thanks for the reply, I have read the posts and will and hook up with them. I am probably more frustrated by being frustrated by this aspect of the game. Does that make sense? I have only been playing for three weeks, and am at 64 lp, with Fire hose, Birthday cake, Pixie dust, 1 ton drop?, and Elephant horn. I have been working hard at my tasks, and only need two more tasks until I complete Lure. I have had so much fun in the past three weeks as an escape from work life, that I am just devastated it could all come crumbling down at this point. I have made some great friends very quickly, but they are not SF's, and they seem to want a "perfect team" on order to get on the elevator. I wish I could tell them I would rather go sad throwing pies than trying to get on the dang elevator! I will take your advice regarding the CCG, I have read the posts and will try and find them. As an adult with a full time job, I'm afraid my "Toon-time" is more limited than I would like. (Melody Peppercorn runs off to reread CCG posts and tries to find them tonight to make herself happier and not give up on Toontown)

Had the same thoughts as you did before discovering the CCG. I had made several attempts to go into a VP run at several stages in my toon's development. I thought the reason why I was ditched had to be due to my low laff points or because I didn't have good enough gags. When I went back as a 101 with all gags maxed except for drop I thought they had to take me now. LOL. People only see the suit and nothing more. (Except me - I actually try to find toons who are high in laff and/or gags. I worry more about getting everyone past the skelog round than the actual pie round which is easy.) As other people have mentioned go with the CCG you will not be disappointed. I am now a Mr. Hollywood 50. Thanks CCG!

I went through the exact same thing (including the tears from being left on the elevator alone...so frustrating!!) until I started going with the CCG. I am a Glad Handler now because of this great group of people!

Talking Ccg Rocks

Brrlgrrl, I am an adult player like you who uses this game to spend some time away from "reality." I do not get to do as many runs with the CCG as I would like, but I am a member and have met some great SFS because of the CCG. Really try working with the CCG and its members, I enjoy the game so much more because of them.
