He's already tried with the ccg (see bolded part). I think he just needs one good VP run and he'll probably start winning more than losing after that.

well i have a 66 sell uber whos a lvl 8 mingler and a 110 whos a lvl 24 holly. u can pm me a code for one of those two. and some tips...
1.go with some good level toons

2.the skelecog part mainly relies on lure, toon up, and sound and the occasional drop sos toon. make sure you have either those or good sos toons like cogs miss, drop, sound, trap, etc.

3. in the elevator, i try to not go with more than 3 cold callers, so try to find some movers and shakers-mr. hollywoods.

4. go in a district where it isnt too crowded. nutty summit and nutty river have a lot of shuffling which makes vping very aggrivating.

5. build up yur own group or join a group.


As for toontasks, i being the sellbot hq fanatic that i am take tasks that are sellbot related or similar. or just work with a friend that has similar tasks.

How can they have SOS toons if they haven't won a VP battle before?

Fighting the Skele requires using the best of available resources/gags, not one set of specific gags. I use drop (not sos drop), that works fine. I use throw and squirt too. Not every battle goes "by the book", no matter who writes that book. Each round is it's own battle, and has to be played as such. Yes, using one round to set up for another is a good way to fight too, but when you get down to it, the idea is to do as much damage per round while taking as little as possible, while recovering from any mistakes made. To simply say "Use toonup/lure/sound and sos cards" is a road to predictable failures. It's a group effort, and sometimes you have to change a strategy from one round to another in order to succeed. Ever since being part of a few winning groups of VP, I've won each time that I've played. I don't check who is what level either. I go in, get to the final part of the battle, and then we win. I've even gone in with an SF that is working on a new toon of theirs, and while fighting the VP, kept an eye on them and tooned them with pies when they've suffered damage, and we all won. Point of saying all that? To show that I'm speaking from knowledge and experience, not just some fantasy advice.
