In the time between me working the cat and me working the bear, things have changed greatly. I told a bunch of my friends not working law yet, I know you like to toon up even when we're down less than 20 but the D office will break you of that. The joke's on me because things are back to the way they always were everywhere else: Down 5 laff? OMG you need a toon-up!
Other than the fact that more of my friends are doing law at the same pace as my bear, I am hating working law now and this is why. DA offices take about 10 minutes longer because everyone's worried about being down a few laff all the time. As for your story.. this kind of thing happens to me more in the mint than in the DAs. I've lost out on about as many invasion in the mint as I have had invasions for. I've also used more of my invasions working cash than I have working law. Crazy stuff.

I hear ya Mick, I've lost quite a few myself lately for the same reason. By now the vast majority of toons should know what we mean by these phrases. Apparently not tho. It's especially frustrating when it ends as the last cog dies. I wish that unless it was a a brand new invsion that no one would TU unless it was a dire emergency. I always keep finished tasks for quick TU after the battle, or I can always run home to my doodles afterwards. Unless I'm gonna die I prefer we just hurry and get the invasion.

im not blaming the toons personally but it is indicative of lesser experienced toons. these ones who havnt reached the heights of big wig and only needing little notices have no idea about the true value of invasions. ive only had 1 bad mint im sure my friend will concur but these two other toons with us although being told to get a move on did not on purpose. i cannot understand why. this to me is griefing. we lost our bux and had to run another mint for the sake of a few seconds.
weve been down to less than 40 lps on a da super and still fogged, because jns are more important than tu. we can allways use our unites, again knowlegde gained with experience. |

I personally get a little annoyed when the toons are constantly tooning up during the DA office. I feel that most of the time, tooning up is unnecessary. The puzzles usually do a decent job of restoring some laffpoints when needed, and lest we forget the occasional toon up barrels that restock a significant amount of laff points. I think, especially with the 105's or so, that they are more interested in their toon up gag training than the 300 jury notices that they need to get. A little annoying after a while guys...

If an invasion starts and you can complete the da/factory or mint that you are in, it makes sense to hurry things up and finish before it ends. To argue otherwise is arguing for the sake of it.
I have done lots of runs where toons purposely sabotage the run for all the other players regardless of whether they need the invasion or not, stalling choosing their gags and killing the cogs while the other toons are waiting for an invasion to start, then saying 'ha ha' whilst dancing!. This is definatley griefing and these toons are not team players |

Ooooh. I agree with you. No problem, and No Worries, don't always work. I went thru a D one time where the two toons we were with were upset we didn't toon-up, and decided they were going to leave, even tho the puzzles and a barrel were next. OOF.
A study of the D office would be a good idea. Of course, if there is an opening, please feel free, but if we need to kill the cogs, then please do so. We should all be experienced toons here, and maybe even have unites from the CFO should we need to use them. I don't think there are many toons out there that would let you go back to the playground. Don't be ascared. We won't hurt you. zig |

Not everyone goes online to fan sites. I'm certain there are many toons that wonder why Nutty River is always full. Using the invasion timer I was wondering about the 12 minutes. The average invasion time I have seen is 10:30 (8 shortest/ 15 longest). The 8 was for a cc invasion and the 15 was for a holly invasion. If it will be less than 2 minutes for the invasion to end then the best plan would be to stop and wait for a new one. Sometimes you can waste upto 40 seconds just getting everyone (toons/cogs) into the battle then let us not forget we have to choose gags. Have the animations for the gag hits/misses, cogs attack if still alive, cogs booming if dead.... Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Is not the answer all the time. Stop and smell the roses every once in a while. Those DA's aren't going anywhere! One final thought, with the level 7 gags now available be considerate that toons want those TU points to get the High Dive. Everyone is working gags again! CWD |
