Weirdest thing in vp battle

As I was walking in the doors of sell hq I passed thru a cog that was coming out of the door. My toon paused for a moment but was never engaged in a battle. I loaded onto the elevator with full laff but by the time we were lined up for the first battle I was down to 56 laff from my 118 starting point. I know for a fact I was full before I went in because we played with the doodles on my estate before heading back to hq.
During this battle I would suddenly lose laff when the cogs were lured and had not thrown any gags at us, no one else on my side was losing laff. Then in the skellie round I suddenly dropped to 28 and moments later began dancing.
It looks as if I may have been in a ghost battle at the same time that I was in the vp. WEIRD.

I had this happen to me once, really freaked me out. All thru the cog battle my laff jumped up and down. This continued into the pie round and at the end when I danced I had 28 laff. The scariest part was when I got back to the pg I had 3 laff. Yikes!!

maybe its because the cog you "went through" actually did engage in battle just didn't show it and when you didn't attack it (cause you were in VP) it would attack you and lower your laff then the "dancing" part was maybe because some other toon joined in the outside battle and killed the cog

i dunno just a guess
