ok guys this is not what i like

i let a level 3 short change go in with us and he messed us all up

i told him from the beggining to first disable the goons

then at the very end he keeps on throwing that black thing i forget what its called

he did it several times and never stopped thanks to him i died and every time i tried to get a toon up he just goes and takes it and then he goes throws another while i go trying to get that thing off of him

i told him to throw the goons several times too

i know i am not being mean if i asked him several times to do it and he said ok and he still doesn't

i am still trying to say do not go in the cashbot thingy unless u know how to play

even if you go in please disable the goons till u learn how to play

The team must have been been bad as a whole. I've been in with one toon who did that on a constant basis - on a number of occations - because I only CFO with randoms. If 3 good toons are on the other cranes, then the black thing (Safe) is off his head as quickly as it is on whilst another toon follows up with a goon. It's not a problem.

I would recommend to tutor such a toon. Don't order them to get off and disable goons. No one likes being ordered around. Tell them not to throw the safe right now. Repeat it till they get it.

If they only get told to goon, how will they learn to crane?

Good luck in future CFO'ing

just to let you know i did that several times but he didn't still listen to me

he was like a 80 something level

he started doing it when ever there was no box on that cfo

he <ticked> me off so much

i been with noobs toons too but this time we had 4 top cogs go in with 4 low level cogs

the lowest level was him and 1 guy messed everyone up. everyone else knew how to play its when the goons became stronger doing like 23 damage then every time when epople got off he got on

also when i was right next to him he left then i automatically got on and i got his by the cfo by those disks and that happened 3 times

to me i am not tutoring a noob toon again i am just going to leave because a hour of my time was waited at 3 am when i wanted to end it at 2:30 am

my dad screamed at me

This person was following the instructions that Mata Hairy explains at the start of the craning part of the CFO. One of the things she says is that you use a safe to get rid of the CFO's safe-ty helmet and a lot of toons think that he starts off with a helmet on therefore they try to throw safes all the time. They don't even realise they are doing anything wrong. I have seen this many times but if the other 3 craners are good then there shouldn't really be a problem.

It is because of this that somebody recently started a petition to get Mata Hairy's instructions changed.

My Mood:
I can see where there's AN INCIDENT of a short change 1 who may have followed directions from the mascot toon.

To be honest, there is very little one can get out of ANY available documentation on the CFO to know what to expect and how to handle things when you get there. Show me a diagram of moves and techniques and prove me wrong. I don't mean verbal anything in text either. We all made mistakes when we started - you included I'm sure. But you got there to learn. Someone didn't shuffle off when you stepped on. Me, I made my first mistake by choosing to be a stomper. Ouch.

Anyway, don't shuffle over a short change 1. They may have an alt toon Robber Baron. Everyone starts with SC1, even those with a lot of experience.

I've seen bigger suits do idiotic things. I have no idea how they got to be where they were when they give the CFO a helmet repeatedly because they have to throw something BIG and jeopardize the run for everyone.

Me too! I figure they keep squeezing on with a load of RB's and eventually they reach a high suit... in which case they are let on more

I've made this suggestion a few other times, but seriously ... it works.

Picture the scenario: 1 noob on crane doing the safe. He won't stop. Logical thing to do is to exercise a bit of hard love and let a goon knock him off. (This could result in him winning the game, when a good craner gets on).

However, he hangs about the crane right? and when you get hit by the gears, he jumps on, right?

Simple. As soon at the CFO turns to face you, exit immediately, by your own initiative. (I do this in regular play anyways... to save the -10 laff). This poor un-suspecting noob, will have enough time to think "woohoo" and take the crane you just left.

Unbeknown to him, the gears are about to spin free. Ooops. He is instantly knocked off before he has a chance to safe the CFO.

Because you left, before he was knocked off, it is impossible for him to rejoin the crane before you can get back on it.

Seriously this works. You have to be able to judge though if someone else is going to hit the CFO before he fires the cogs. If someone will, then stay or (or if you can hit him before he fires). If not, exit immediately. Give the noob plenty of time to get on... to get knocked off.

Have fun.

Hmmm, First off CFO is simple enough that one toon is NOT going to cause the entire team to lose.

Secondly, how do expect a toon to not go in until they know how to play? I mean, seriously. *shrug*

Why would you not take the crane from him when he got off to get tu? Simple enough! Also, perhaps you should spend more time doing whatever task has befallen you in the CFO than watching others and trying to instruct them.

But my best advice, someone has already said. Give beginners a break - you were once one yourself. Oh -- and have fun!

How very nice of you.

You should only go with friends then - that is really your only option!

I still say it is not ONE guy's fault you were in there so long - if you started in beta and know so much, then one noob - or even a group of them - really shouldn't be a problem for someone like you.

Meh! I have 3 Toons working in the Brrrgh and someday they will stumble across Short Change 1 And Im already a Baron on my Big Toon. I may not have the right laff, or the best gags. But hey! I still have alot of experience. Why dont you ask them if they been here before. And if not tell them what to do. I know Mata Hairy confuses toons much. But they wont have any experience if you dont take them with you. Just my thoughts.

You can tell by how they play? Safe on the head 24/7... suggests they are new. If you use "dont throw a safe now" and they continue to do it then they are likely children who cannot read, or a player who is very stuborn and refuses to listen

It does not bother me personally. In the old days, I had an issue with the cranes "swing" from side to side. I would have to counter the swing until it was not swinging, then pull back, push forward and hit the CFO. By the time I did this with the safe followed by a goon, a new helmet would be on his head.

Now I don't need to have to wait until the crane is stationary. I can hit the CFO just fine with massive swing, I just correct it whilst throwing towards CFO, pulling in to one side before I release it. I can get a safe off and hit CFO with a goon before a noob has a chance to pickup and throw another safe...

I will let them do it... but if it gets to the point that the game is in danger, then I will take steps to remove them from the crane and take their place. I am not against giving them practice.

It's like this: I don't mind letting a new driver drive. But if we start to get chased by bad guys and put in danger, I am back on the wheel. It's logical.
