It could have something to do with the fact that the more wins a person has the harder the battle will be, more gavels, etc. So they may be doing it so lower suits get an easier overall CJ battle.

The reason I think they shuffle is because some are new to it *like me* and they want to go with atleast people who know what to do. We cant stop shuffling, no matter where we are it will always occur (sp?)

I try to avoid the shuffle, but I also try to avoid having more than two baby suits on with me. Mostly because I would like a shorter battle - this isn't guaranteed but it is more likely with more experienced players. And yeah yeah, I understand that in some cases those are baby suits of those already in big suits or maxed, but not always. And those already maxed have friends to go with.

I know why they shuffle. We Bigwigs want other big suits to accompany us so we have a better chance of people knowing what to do and a better chance of winning.
