The guides are great, but i thought i'd make a short thread describing how to actually stun the cogs (since it is an important job.) Too many CJs have been lost from toons who just run around and stun every cog they see, so heres my best strategy ive come up with after stunning 30 Cjs.
Throwing Evidence -Its best to have 4 toons stunning (assuming you have 8 toons in CJ) with one toon stunning 2 cogs. So pic a spot and stay there. Throw your evidence at the first cog and quickly turn and hit the other. -It only takes ONE evidence to stun a cog for 5 seconds, and evidence thrown while a cog is stunned, is pretty much a waste So you could count to 5 after you stun the first cog and develop perfect timing to where the cogs are always stunned. stun the first cog again and quickly stun the second. -I find that tapping the insert key once throws evidence low and fast. Also help out your fellow toons by stunning their cogs while they are getting evidence. using the strategy up there ^ you can easily keep 4 cogs stunned just by staying in one spot and turning. Sometimes he will jump and take off 10 laff from anyone still standing on the ground. So when you hear his siren that means he will jump in 3 seconds. Thanks and Good luck in the CJ! One of my good friends likes to play backup stunner... when I'm playing with her, I toss off that SpeedChat with 3 or 4 pieces remaining, because she also lurks near the scales to help the scaling crew when not substituting for one of the four dedicated stunners, and needs the time to come over to my position. Seems to work really well, especially when the other stunners pick up on it and do the same thing! |

I agree with this startegy. My only question is this: We all start with the same amount of evidence. But it always seems that I am the last one to run out and get more. When the other stunners take of to get more evidence, I normally have 3 to 4 left, so I try to take on 3 to 4 cogs. Shouldn't all the stunners run out of evidence at the same time? Or pretty close?

Well, that's normal. It all depends on how fast you are stunning. I stun 4 cogs so I am always the 1st one to go get evidence out of the stunners. Some stunners wait till they see an unstunned cog than they hit it so therefore they are just sitting there and not throwing evidence.

Recently, the best CJs I have done have had four toons stunning cogs - two each and four scalers. Stick to the same two cogs. When someone goes to get evidence, everyone in the line can shuffle up a bit - but stay in the same order until that toon returns. It really works if people stick to the same two cogs throughout and neighbouring toons just cover for you when you get evidence.
