invasions dont affect buildings

It seems apparent that people were worrying about an invasion being called whilst you were in a bldg. would you still get your rewards, like many people i was expecting the worst but this maybe is a storm in a teacup. we were on the 5th floor of a (hard)5 story law bldg, with 4 cogs to go and someone fired up a short change invasion. my inital reaction was of horror.. i fully expected to see aload of short changes appear next but it didnt happen. instead we got 4 more big wigs and the bldg yielded nearly 500 jns. so from my experience if you are allready in a building you have no fears.

Yes. I agree with that, I was in an invasion from a summon and I went into a 5law, but it was Flunky's(Inside the build)...
Later on that day I was doing same thing as you, and the same thing happen, except I was on the 3rd floor, and mine gave 278 JNs ...

When you are in a building and an invasion is called it doesn't affect the floor you are on but it does affect all floors after that. The cogs on each floor appear to be set once you reach that floor. I have been in numerous, almost constant invasions on test since law was released and found my cog specific tasks incredibily hard to complete because of the Bottom Feeder invasions etc. The only places truly unaffected by the invasions are the factory, mints and the new DA Offices.

I was on the second floor of a 4 story and it was going to be a nice Law build form my jury Notices when someone called an invasion......Yay it changed to Flunkies....Pfffft!!!

So now if someone steals your spot on an elevator, I'm guessing it's Flunkie invasion once the doors close. They seriously need to get rid of this or at least keep your current buildings alone. I could understand someone wanting a 5 story building of low lvl cogs to train on but it's really annoying when you're on the 4th floor to get notices and now you can't even bail out of the building because of the time invested already.

This is what we told test devs repeatedly, to not affect the bldgs that people are in. We would like to be able to call an invasion from inside the bldg and not have it affect everything around on the street and other bldgs, etc. I see the invasions as a grand opportunity to grief people already in bldgs. And like a poster said, if a toon didn't make the ele shuffle he could throw an invasion and mess us everything inside. However. If that does happen to you, just take your time with the cogs. Let the timer run down everytime before you choose your gags. We found the invasions last an average of 8 mins (some less, some more) so you can essentially wait one out if you take your time and still get the points from top floors. Assuming they hit you from the bottom.
And no, you can't call an invasion if one is in progress, so you won't be able to over turn it.
