CJ very frustrating

I am now 1/5 attempts

I won the first time

each time I always stun cogs...and in each senario where we lose, I am the only one stunning, and 3 are hitting scale, and the other 4 are saying "lets use toon-up" and stunning one random cog every 10 seconds (and in other cases they are just running around....literaly)

I can keep up 3 cogs easy, 4 depending on if I get stunned myself or not

but its never enough, I spend 10 minuest getting in elevator, 20 minuets fighting/cannon and 30 minuets of a stalemate -> losing, then I quit when people start getting sad.

I know it's new.....but the VP and CFO weren't this complicated. For VP, no stratagy was required, all that made people lose at first was not knowing how to jump when VP jumped. CFO was obvious, 4 on crane, 4 stunning goons, it just HAD to be that way.

with CJ, ther are no rules, no restrictions. Toons are not learning very quickly what to do, and it makes me not want to teach them, because no matter how many times you tell someone to stun cogs or hit the scale, they just stand there and toss some evidence into the abyss.

In the end, I decided two days ago to play ToonTown a little bit, and supprise!!!! A new HQ!!!!!!............I dont know if I'm going to keep playing.

CJ = very nice Opportunity To Quit

unless TT decides to add a guide IN GAME that suggests to players how to fight that battle. just because someone has 100+ lp's doesnt mean they know how to do anything, they just have bigger pies and broader smiles

Keep trying. Come on. You done it 5 time. Give people a chance. They will eventually get it. At the beginning of the CFO, everyone wanted to crane. People eventually got it that stomping was actually more important. They will get this too. I love the CJ battle. Very different and it keeps you on your toes. Let me know when you are ready again. I will go with you and help you stun. (4/5)

And to the brown mouse who....never stopped squeaking

To the brown mouse who never stopped using speedchat during the CJ battle 15 minutes ago?
Focus on the battle instead of trying to be cute using speedchat! Go get evidence! Hit the pan! Do something! And when you are about to go sad, don't yell goodbye, cuz no one cared! TEAMWORK is what CJ is about!

I think right now the hype is up because of the BIG WIG 50 RACE. Every HIGH-LAFFER is racing to be the first BIG WIG 50. I think it is a little pointless but, who cares really. And maybe they're in such a big fat rush, they don't think. And it turns out they irritate people. Yeah, I'm just going to wait until the hype goes down and then see what happens. You know maybe it'll be slightly shorter. But hey, I dunno. Also, this is just my 2c

anyway

I think I'm just going to avoid it for a week or two, then come back and see how its going.

I know what I'm doing, but if I can't win because of other people, I'm not going to do it.

I'm a 118 and I'm only a bloodsucker 5. Why you ask? I'll tell you... I think the CJ battle is boring and tedious and the rewards are really something I'm not interested in.
The only time you'll see me in Law is if friends need an extra person to make a group of 8, or if a friend needs help in a DA Office.
I have no interest in maxing out Law anytime soon.
I for one do not care about becoming a Big Wig 50.
My true love in Toontown will always be the CFO.

Actually, I could care less about becoming a BW50. Right now i'm focusing on Cashbot HQ (at least trying). I'm a RB16 and would like to make it to 50 soon enough because I think that would very useful. The rewards for the CFO are very good and I treat them like gold, as I treat the VP and CJ rewards like garbage. I don't know of a use for the summoning if you don't have an invasion summon, like my current status.

As of now, I am pretty hooked onto the CJ for one reason and one at all-it's brand new. I like getting new things and I stick to them for a while until that get's boring and I go back to the old. I only like to go with groups though, nothing else...with randoms I usually die.

Smile I think CJ rocks

Just had my first turn in the CJ battle and I loved it. We lost but I don't care. The other toons will have to really work on their teamwork in order for them to succeed in this battle. I like that it is tough. My first 10 attempts at VP were tough but I like the challenge. Now I know the VP inside out and only lose 1 in 10 times due to inexperienced toons. CFO is about the same.

The thing I like about toontown is that working together brings rewards. There is a lesson there for all of us!

I am glad that it is tough, it will make it way more satisfying to win!

We all understand that the key is to work togeather

The problem I have brought up is that there is little to no way to let the toons not working togeather how to work togeather.

hence, right now CJ is frustrating

there is NOT a clear way to let non-forum readers know how to get to the forum and read what we've learned about CJ strategies and how well they work. But let's face it, some toons just don't work together period, even big laff toons that I know. Making a gag selection mistake occasionally is one thing, but never working together is a profound art to a lot of toons. hee hee And, gosh, I've been to a lot of VP's with those kinds of toons and barely survived. You should note the toon names of some of our repliers here and get to a district where they are and take a ride with them. You deserve a victory just for posting here.
