I think there are downloadable versions, but I'm not sure.

In case anyone wants to know a little about 2 and 3, I'll list some things.
3: Focuses more on an adventure-like style, much simpler than 2. Lots of preset stuff you can load, and an entire preset game you can load. Lots of item models, including yellow, green, blue and red bottles, kind of like potions from those kinds of games. The "Storyteller" mode adds even more ways to make the game. 2: Can be made in to pretty much anything you want, if you can spend enough time to make it. A ton of editing types, including visual effects, objects, monsters, characters and lots more, can be used to fully create an entire game. 2 requires lots of time to play, most of the creating is very time-consuming. If you want to make a simple, short, fast(ish?) story, I'd recommend 3. If you have hours and hours to use, I'd recommend 2. |

When I first saw this I was thinking of like a RPG rocket. It made me wonder what type of G rated game would let you build rockets... and how that would be fun.
I understand now though, after Googling it. A Role Playing Game creator. So, you create your game and then you play it? Sounds fun. |

I own RPG Maker VX, but I think the RPG Maker you're talking about is different.
Haha, quite love it... lots of stuff you can do without scripting. c: Which is good, cause I don't understand it one bit. LOL |

I use it often. I have used it for years, and it provoked me to learn HTML and I am still learning the Ruby Scripting System. It's a very fun yet difficult program once you get used to it.
