Well as I pointed out in a reply to "Step away from fishing" thread, this is a typical game of chance. But let me disagree with this Roberto guy about one point. By switching the district rather then sitting at one pond, you are increasing your chances of finding something interesting. I don’t think that they program every district with the same fish, just like you see buildings taken over by cogs are not the same in every district.
I noticed for example that one pond in BRR had a high percentage of Piano Tuna and Bears. I switched the district and… same pond, same place, but nothing interesting, just garbage (balloon, clown etc). Of cause it is all re-programmed on a regular basis. I would imagine it is some kind ofa rotating program (sorry, not very good at programming, but know a lot about probability). And like in real life you’ve got to find the right place, if nothing’s happening, you’ve got to go somewhere else.

I hope it helps somebody. I am not that bothered myself. I am more of a 2-3buckets a day person.
