Ugly has a very good point. There seems to be a certain
expectation that the low laffer should follow the lead of the high
laffer. This is a deadly assumption. The best way to know for sure
what to do is to have a waiting contest. If the low laffer selects
first, then you can compliment his gag with yours. He may not
know the best plan of action but your adaptation will win the day.
If he waits with you, to the point that the timer is about to run
out, there's a good chance he knows what he's doing, and wants
to make sure NOT to ruin a battle plan. This of course assumes a
certain amount of game experience on the part of the 60 laffer.

You can get a feel for what others do usually by the first or second
round, by waiting as long as possible to see their play style.

Beyond that, perception is reality. It could very well be that
ssgamer's experience was indeed a bad one. I'll don't blame him
for choosing the toons he wants to play with
