dizzy - so true about 4 strong toons making quick work of a 5 story ddl sell with sound.

on Open, even with 4 toons looking for 5 story sells, I still had a hard time finding enough buildings to keep up with the number of merits you can get by just putting your nose to the grindstone and pounding out 120's.

lol, problem was, me and my friends were never the only ones with the bright idea of grabbing 5 story sells given the higher player counts on open (even at night) - so it was still hard to keep getting three plus per an hour. lol I think maybe you were beatin me to them!

- although, I admit, on good nights it helped to have another computer running, as my other toon could do the searching while the toon needing merits kept busy in factory. On Open I didn't feel bad about taking the 5 stories, as there are plenty of 4 stories to satisfy the needs of toons looking for Hollys/Minglers.

I've come to the decision that I'm never going to pursue hq keys on Test. In the same time spent doing mints/factories ad nauseum, I can raise an entirely new toon with maxed gags and low merit/buck requirements, doing things that arent so repetitive. I always dread seeing that paranoid freak Hysterical Harry in the Brrgh and the oh-so-entitled Susan Siesta in DDL but
still, I think i can run a factory blindfolded at this point as long as i can hear the doors opening and closing. And that's just all wrong.

I think I'll take Harry and Susan over 5500 merits 5 times and 8900 bucks 5 times plus all the intermediates anyday, and i think that exposure to all of TT instead of just factory and bullion gives more opportunities to see bugs that creep in.

Kudos though, to those that have the perseverance to get it done on Test. I would think it isn't as easy as it is on Open, as it's gotta be tough to get groups together to VP and CFO right when your merits are done to keep rolling.

One last thing - Aunt Kymitoon - I totally agree with what you are saying about the devs giving us more specific information about what changes were made, and what we should expect to see, given that we complete whatever they added/changed. I've emailed and bug reported that suggestion, and both times got "thank you for your inputs" in reply. Perhaps we are a "control" group. When testing software, its often the case that specific details are not given to a group of testers, so that they don't use the software in a predictable way. The devs themselves normally test in a manner that verifies that software works when used as intended. I think that maybe we are the ones that are supposed to use it in unintended ways.
Unfortunately, in the case of the trophies, not knowing what we were supposed to see left us almost completely unable to recognize and report problems. You're right on target about that.
