I, too, have been frustrated when someone is in the building with me & I know they can't take out a cog (and will probably take more damage than necessary) and I tell them "You should pass." Sometimes, but very rarely, they listen.
Passing is good because it 1) gives a person the chance to lure and 2) the next round they can toon up if they need to. Now, I had one toon who took it to extremes where I said "You should pass." because up until that point, he/she had been hitting right along with me. After I said that, he/she would keep right on passing until I said "Let's go fight the cogs!" Hehehe.
