Griefers on elevator

So last night on a VP run we had the elevator shuffle. 10 hi-laffers. 1 guy, Luigi, with 18 laffs. It was obvious he was there to cause grief, so I won't hesitate to use his name.

Obviously not everyone could go on the elevator even if Luigi hadn't been there.

So Luigi would hop on, and 3 people would hop off. Thus the shuffle was prolonged and prolonged.

My question is: WHY?

NO, Not WHY did Luigi do it? But rather, why jump off??

You've got 7 good players and one griefer. Griefers are easy to understand - they want to see you react negatively. They hop on the elevator, 4 toons hop off, they get happy! They want to do it again.

So why not stay ON the elevator. Two things can happen:
1) The griefer/newbie stays on with you. You go to the VP. Don't heal him (unless its a group toonup for everyone) He goes sad. The remaining 7 players play on. No big deal.

2) The griefer/newbie gets off the elevator at a low time clock, resetting it. Ok, 2 things can happen:
a) the griefer gets on again, and the timer won't reset, so either he stays on and #1 occurs or he gets off again and 7 go fight.
- or -
b) when the griefer gets off, a good player gets on. A full crew goes to the fight.

The elevator shuffle over one low laffer is exactly what the laffer wants. Why not just ignore the griefer and go with 7?

Am I missing something?
