to playing a soundless toon in the mints.
I’m facing another 8900 bux and the with the pain of the last buck gathering still fresh in my mind I want to offer up a few suggestions to you toons who find yourself running a mint with a soundless toon.
First:
Don’t panic. Most random groups freeze like a deer caught in the headlights when they find themselves with one soundless member. Just because I don’t have sound doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use
your sound. Just use it in the appropriate situations and at the proper strength.
- Use 2 fogs and at least an aoogah when you are facing a row of 10’s or a row with no more than one 11.
Sound will take out the 10’s and leave the 11 injured enough that he can be eliminated with a squirt bottle. Assuming that 3 of you have fogs, you can use this combination in 4 battles.
If you didn't use enough on the first round to elminate all of the cogs....use sound on the second round and I will toon you up.
Second:
The goal when you are luring is for the three toons attacking to eliminate 2 cogs the first round. Then all four can take out the remaining two the next round. There are many ways to accomplish this. Here are just a few of my favorites.
The toon who is going to lure should engage the cogs tagging the 10 first if there is one present.
Some gag combinations for elminating 2 cogs on first round.
One person cake the 10 on the R. Trap and piano one of the 11’s.
One person TNT an 11….2 crème pies on the 10 on the R
One person TNT an 11…storm and hose any 10.
One person cake the 10 on the R…. 2 others Cake and pie an 11.
Other considerations:
Things don’t always go smoothly though. Here are a few combinations to remember.
- The cog on the R always gets knockback bonus and therefore should not be trapped.
- Always follow up a trap with a piano since since door (70) and safe (60) do not do enough damage to remove the 10 which needs 132 damage.
- The cog next to the cog on the far R rarely ever gets knockback bonus so you need to use gag power to kill w/o the bonus.
- Hose and storm will take out any 10. It will take out an 11 only if you get knockback bonus.
- Cake and frut pie will not take out an 11w/o knockback bonus.
- 3 crème pies will not take out an 11 w/o knockback bonus. When there are only 3 of us attacking and 2 people choose crème pies…I choose a safe as it WILL do enough damage (if it hits of course).
- 3 hoses will not take out a 10 w/o knockback bonus but 2 hoses and a safe will get the job done.
And lastly….always tag the 12 so he will line up on the R and get knockback bonus. Otherwise you have to use 2 birtday cakes on him or 1 cake and 2 pies.. Without knockback bonus, 2 storms will NOT do enough damage to him. I’ve seen people line him up on the left soooo many times and then try to take him out without using enough gag power.
