I have also found that it is best to develop teams. If (hopefully) eight toons make it to the pie throwing, try to divide up the work much like CFO: 2 toons aiming for the doors (front and back), 4 toons trying to knock him in the head, and 2 toons (preferrably high laff toons) running around keeping an eye on everyone else's laff points.
Just a strategy that my sf's and I have developed that seems to work.
Also, it is hit or miss for me whether or not my computer HOPELESSLY locks up during the pie fight. Luckily my sf's are aware of this, so if i'm not fighting it means I'm in LaLa land.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to maybe tip the scales in my favor and not lock up as much? Other than going to a less crowded district?

if you have two toons left that kow how to make the straight shot, you will win. The one back should stay there and the one in front should back up to move him when he is stunned.

When me and my son (7) do it, I take the front, and we can move it down the ramps almost as fast as your average group os inexperianced randoms.

Its really all about the stunns and avoiding damage. We also stay close in so he doesnt get upset at having noone to aim at. This keeps him from going into JUMP-ROLL mode.
