Also if you have a numberpad (I got one in my laptop) turn it off (num lock off) and hit either
8 (goes up)
4 (Goes left)
6 (Goes right)
2 (goes down)
Hold down that number you want and you will run. Keep holding it down and turn on the num lock. Now take your finger off the key. Your toon will still run forwards/left/right/back.
After a while of going left/right. You will go to sleep.
