One important thing about the new fonts which we hadn't appreciated until this morning:
This gives players a quick way to tell who is a trial member and who is a full-fledged member of Toontown.
In Welcome Valley this morning, about 50% of the toons we saw were trial members, and about 50% were paying members.
This might be important in a couple weeks, because Disney is experimenting again with the trial memberships. Judging from what I've seen on Test, it sounds like trial members will now be able to wander the streets and headquarters, but won't be able to go into buildings or factories/mints/etc.
So we can expect to see more trial members on the streets in the near future.
What does this mean? Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to purchase that "basic name tag" font until we see how players with that font are perceived by the public.
FWIW, only one of our six toons was able to purchase anything other than the basic name tag fonts this morning---and of course, the one toon who could purchase a font (Western) is on a long-term vacation. Figures.
