First and foremost I want to apologize to the sweet ladies; it was my fault that Alvin was not up to form with his flirting! It wasn’t you, it was growly me.

Wednesday was not the best day for me and my growly disposition spilled over into Alvin. I had spent the day feeling guilty about not being out cutting up or splitting the firewood I had hauled home from my neighbor’s place, or helping him cut down more. I also was being stressed by the need to prepare for an upcoming vacation (yeah, I know all you folks think us retired people are ALWAYS on vacation). And I had spent many fruitless hours with Comcast technicians listening to them tell me it was my computer's problem that I can receive email but not send it..yeah right. So, late in the evening I decided I would log onto ToonTown and see if either of my kids were on, I needed to kill something.

Well the kids were not on, but I did find that cute little purple mouse Granny Spunky Twinklemuffin lurking around in Donald’s Dreamland. She had been up to something since her laff was a bit down. So then she asked if we were going to CFO, and you all know how much I like CFO. You also know how much I like Granny. She said the ‘others’ were calling for her to go. So it only took a tiny bit of arm twisting to get me to at least go see who was in the milling around area. Well, in no time Alvin was wallowing in friends, and true friends. There were more than he could effectively flirt with in the time we had, and my mood was not helping things. My long time TF Queen Biscuit was there and told me she was tired of trying to locate friends to organize a maxing run and so had just decided to max her suit on a normal CCG run. I wanted to go with everyone, and by the time I fumble fingered my way through TF chatting the situation to all, Queen Biscuit was already inside fussing at me for being slow and late. My fear was that I might be disrupting other’s plans. But then I decided, hey, we are all adults and we can probably deal with it! So I went inside and found my friends still on the loading platform.

Queen Biscuit said she was going on the next load. She has all the patience of a wolverine. So she did and I stepped forward with others to let ToonTown sort us out. When it was done we had a load of big suits with a token Number Cruncher. The sorting had separated Granny and her friend, Anita Goh. I think they had been planning to go together. So, Skinny Wildchomp, who was aboard, stepped off to give Anita a spot. Thanks Skinny, that was really nice of you! But little did I know that there was a scheme afoot to stick Alvin on a crane!

For the cogs, Alvin was sided with Granny, Sheriff, and Anita. As I remember, the battle went very well! Gags ranged from bike horns to a ToonTanic drop, but primary weapon was sound. The other side sounded like it was doing equally as well! I threw one shout to Queen Biscuit and she said things were good. Thank heaven things went well, I don’t think I had the wits to handle any adversity. I did notice on my sound recording that my playmates managed to bring forth a few laughs, thank you all for that.

And then we were dropped into the arena. I know from long friendship that Queen Biscuit hates the crane almost as much as I do. So we had no intention of doing anything but stomp! Queen is really good at that but Alvin rots. And then a stern voice said, “please take the crane”. So I turned and looked and mine was occupied, ok so I stomp. But I knew by then that Granny and Anita at least had conspired to shame Alvin into craning! And no, they did not let Granny do it with whispered TF chat, Anita did it with speedchat so all could hear. So, we kind of gave up and went to see if there really was an open crane. Of course there was, and Alvin reluctantly took it. But we had managed to drag hoof to the point the battle was well along. And so Alvin had to demonstrate my inability to crane…again! We got a couple of hits but never got a safe hit. But we only heard one goon squish! So most of the ones we did manage to throw hit. One of these times I am going to tell my recording just how well I do since you can’t tell by just listening to the audio. And just about the time I got a red on the hook and started my throw, it was over. Wonderful, we all lived. On crane we had Alvin, Clyde, K. Jon, and Lady Fireball I think. The entire battle had taken only 17 minutes, and 8 ½ of that was cogging. The arena battle only lasted 4 minutes and we got him with 25 explosive goon hits.

Queen Biscuit got her key! No more stinking cogbucks. Go rub scottsman’s nose in that one! I hung around the playground as a rerun was organized and helped get Queen Biscuit teleported to the right place for her first run as a RB50!

Congratulations Queen Biscuit!
