If you Alt/F4 at the end of a VP battle before the dance begins, all it will do is enable you to return to the VP without a promotion in your suit level (or suit) or laff boost if in the HW 14/19/29/39/49 sequence. Hence, you will not get your promotion nor would you get your reward (SOS card and laff boost). If you Alt/F4 during the dance, you will receive your reward and your promo.
